 | My Nerite has been acting strange for weeks now. At first it's body looked like it just couldn't unfurl itself properly. Then, I noticed it wasn't coming out of its shell and thought it was dead but, when I checked, it moved and continued that way the past week. I saw a gray chunk floating near it and it seemed like it was a piece of its body. Now, today, it's on the glass but still looking scrunched and messed up. I have no idea what's going on.  | Hey everyone! This is my first crack at a “cigar” box guitar, actually made from an old trivia game box. I built a humbucker for it, but it’s a bit underpowered so I’m swapping in an old single coil. I used some old bike parts for the tailpiece, sound hole covers and tone and volume knobs, plus some for decoration. And some pieces of bone I found in the woods for the bridge and nut. Hey everyone! I know thrill if the fight 2 is only natively available on Quest at the minute, but I was hoping to get it running on my Valve Index since it's the only vr headset I have. First off, I am a casual Lana fan. Mostly I am an academic looking at pop music and pop music trends. Currently, it appears that Lana's style & influence seem to be permeating the realm of Top 40 and Dance Music.
For example, listening to the current Addison Rae single, "Diet Pepsi", it's impossible not to hear the singer mimic much of Lana's style. I keep expecting to hear Miss Rae utter something about being "down at the men in the music business conference" (IYKYK). Next, checking out the recent David Guetta/Alesso collab featuring Madison Love, "Never Going Home Tonight"- it's clear that the direction was: "Sound like 'Summertime Sadness' without making it 'Summertime Sadness' ".
Indeed, imitation is the biggest form of flattery, but in the end, some of these new artists just comes across as terribly derivative.

Under Michigan Compiled Laws, as updated through PA 156 of 2024, specifically Act 84 of 1909 (MILITARY ESTABLISHMENT, Sections 32.1 - 32.85), an officer who has completed at least 15 years of service and is at least 64 years old may be retired with an annual pension of $480. Similarly, an enlisted service member who meets the same criteria (15 years of service and age 64 or older) may receive an annual pension of $180. However, before any retired officer with more than 10 years of actual state duty can receive benefits under Sections 49 or 49b of this act, they must provide evidence of the amount of retirement pay or pension they are entitled to receive from the U.S. government for military disability or service.
While National Guard members endure similar hardships and risks as active-duty military personnel when deployed overseas, the disparity in pay is significant, and securing this modest pension is not an easy process.

2024.11.27 02:35 swanduckswan Can glazed bisqueware sit around? + a few other questions.
I have some bisqued items, is it okay to glaze them now and put them in a Tupperware or something for a few weeks before firing again ?
If that’s too long, can you glaze a few days out ?
Is it okay to underglaze then glaze bisqueware in the same firing?
Bonus question- to make a glaze more transparent can I just add some clear with it? I have satin matte glazes and a normal clear glaze, can I mix the two or would I have to mix it with a satin matte clear only?
Or can I take clear shiny glaze and add a bit of colour with some ubderglaze mixed in?

Was walking through Coconino Estates last night and two cars (one small SUV, one flatbed pickup) sped past and blew through a stop sign. They appeared to be chasing each other.
They then looped around and took the corner quick towards Marshall School around 9:15.
Did anybody else hear the squealing tires or engines revving. Was quite a sight, but a little scary!
