!!!This only tip works if you have a screen that is able to display colours beyond the sRGB range - those are 10+ bit IPS/OLED panels.
Simply go to display -> Color and you'll see it as the toggable setting. Switch it off and all colours will look a bit more vibrant.
You can test this by looking at an image of something bright and red - such as a fire hydrant. The image will be a bit more vivid with ACM off.
What ACM essentially does is, it analyses the display's native Color profile and tone-maps the image sent to the display in such a way as to "emulate" the sRBG colour space in an attempt to "trick" the display - that is by compressing the brightest and darkest colors, and by reducing Color vibrancy to fit the standard colour range for internet pages, etc. This would be great if the monitor itself weren't doing a double-conversion back into its native Color space unless it's specifically set to "sRGB mode" in its OSD menu - and as you'll quickly notice sRBG mode just looks bad. This double conversion results in full colours, reduced contrast and crushed blacks. Turn it off and forget about it.

I’ll probably never use the quilting journal. One because you have to print it and two because journaling just isn’t my thing. Neat to have I guess? If you’re into tracking your quilts like that. I haven’t watched the videos yet and probably won’t, seems to cover basic quilting skills and I’m in the middle of my holiday crunch time. Maybe in the new year Idk. The ruler is good! I don’t have a 6.5 square one yet so I’m happy for that! Can never have too many rulers. The pins are so-so quality, they’re easy to bend and the heads aren’t smooth. Plus I used clips not pins so won’t use these. ••Fabric (pics 7 and 8) The blue and red bundle is cute! I like all the patterns and they’re well coordinated. I was hoping the additional 16 would be in similar colors to the first 12. 28 coordinating FQs is a fully quilt top depending on your pattern but unfortunately they don’t match well. The 16 are odd too, they don’t all seem to work together and there are multiples of the same pattern just in different colors which I don’t like. Also I wouldn’t have chosen any of the 16’s for myself, the colors are muted and patterns not my style. Disappointed there.
OVERALL RATING 5/10 It’s cool if you’re a complete beginner (I’m thinking of ordering a box for my niece who wants to start sewing) there is nearly all the things you need to start with small projects to ease you into quilting, and give it a go before committing to huge projects. I’m staying over a friends place in playa vista. Well be attending a conference in lax hilton for 3 days.
We have to be there fri to sun, 10am to 5pm but then back at it from 9pm to 2-3am for Fri, sat, sun.
What are our best option for affordable parking or just convenience?
We can just pay hotel parking but not sure how their in and out means for our schedule and in and out privilege is $70+ yikes.
We can do sunrise lax parking $30 per day but not sure if they do in and out and if we can in and out with our schedule.
Uber is $33-$40 back and forth to playa vista.
The cheapest is el segundo station parking then transit and free shuttle our way to lax but we’re skeptical of the shuttles/busses working past 1am…
lol why this got to be a literal $300 just for parking at the most expensive option. Does anyone have a better idea? Or we’re doomed lol

During rush hour, unknown person in a newer white Lexus suddenly appears in the right shoulder of a 270 degree exit ramp, passes me and the vehicles directly ahead at a high rate of speed and weaves wildly back and forth across 4 lanes of heavy bridge traffic until being stopped at a traffic light. Said driver then proceeds to make a right turn onto the same side street I'm taking only to cruise slow enough for me to nearly catch up before I turn right for home. That was an experience.
