 | Today I had to say goodbye to my 15-16 year old Pomeranian mix. It was one of the hardest days of my life. Her name was Princess Koriand'r, Kori for short, and she was my sunshine and my best friend. I got her when I was 16 for 30$ at an old shelter where she had been born and never adopted. I got her when she was about 9 already. (I wanted an elderly dog, ik they do not get adopted as much) She slept in my room every night next to me. I took her with me halfway across the country to a new climate for college. She was sassy and loyal and incredible in every way. She loved puzzles and rotisserie chicken. I held her and cuddled her the whole time. We had a vet come to our home to do the euthanasia, she was too scared of the vets office for her last moments to be in there. She was physically pretty healthy for an old dog but her dementia had gotten so bad she was starting to lose motor functions, could barely move her mouth to eat and was constantly scared unless I was holding her. Sorry for the rant but she's my only real friend I've ever had. I want to tell people her story. I wish more had gotten to meet her. I feel like I didn't have enough time with her. (((Actual question))) I've paid for the service of getting her cremated, not sure how long it takes but once I have her ashes I do not know what I should do with them. I'm a sentimental person, I like to have momentos and keepsakes. I was thinking of maybe some sort of locket but I know there are lots of different companies and things available now for the majority of the ashes. Id like them to maybe be turned into something instead of sitting in an urn, that feels like Kori's style. Any advice or suggestions? Hey, so it's almost christmas and I was thinking like there don't seem to be any or not many Venture Bros christmas cards, so was thinking of drawing some.
Anyone have any good ideas?
1) My current Ideas are Brock with a knife in his teeth, covered in blood, standing on top of a pile of henchmen dressed as elves.
2) Dr Venture and the Boys in a Sleigh with Brock as Santa, with helpers as the reindeer.
3) Rusty Venture as a kid at a christmas tree, opening inappropriate for a 10 year old presents, like guns, bombs, radioactive things.

2024.11.27 02:31 Cobalt_72 24/11/27 the dream i keep having and meditation
Every night I wake up as a young girl, no one I've known, a girl with brown hair in a white dress, surrounded by my classmates from back when I went to school and maybe past abusers too.
During the dream I realize something is wrong. Because I never had a normal school life. Because it's not me. Because I want to be a myself again, I want my identity back and leave the past in the past. But I'm also too into the dream and strangeness of it all, in some way it's as if that girl had her own thoughts and they affected how I act, so I can never ask important questions like "who am I? (who is this girl?)" or "why are you guys here?". To the questions I have been able to ask... They say this has to be repeated until I do something or understand something. And they agree they are part of my subconsciousness.
We tend to end up killing each other in strange ways (the students, teachers etc and I). Then I go back in time because I regret killing them. Or teleport somewhere else so they don't kill me again.
When I meditated today the girl was in my mind, I tried to drag her with me to the present and she began to rot away. She smiled and showed me she was never real, I mean, of course. But what it transmitted is that we never had a childhood. We were abused, under so much pressure, we could never feel present. And the other children were the same. We were all just getting hurt, and without noticing we also kept hurting each other. It's a childhood that couldn't exist for none of us.
So I tried to comfort her, telling her now I have better people around me, but I realized I still distrust them even if only in small portions. In a sense we are still the same, we can't exist as we are, and for a moment, it felt we connected, but everything got stained in blood, again my first memory, just blood. There was a beautiful thing though, that is a white egg I usually see when meditating and can never grab... well, this time I could grab it and understood the egg is me, I don't know what that means though.
When I try to dig deeper something is wrong. There's this big fear too, like a deep, bad sense of horror. I guess I dissociated enough. I guess it always connects to that first memory. It's been 10 years dreaming with the same children, in a body that isn't mine. I feel I must be stupid to not being able to solve this one already, but here we are. About meditation, I'm recently being able to have these experiences again, before the body annoyances got so much in the way, so that's another good thing.

I've been seeing a lot of complaints about the Oscillation Modifier, what you guys don't understand is that the devs have a clear vision of what this game should be, and they mean to implement difficulty even if the average player thinks it's redundant.
I honestly applaud the devs for their bravery and ability to zero in on what their vision should be, and you should too! Oscillation forces us to swap weapons and use weapons that we wouldn't normally use in a GM, even if the champion mods are bad this time around, and the way the enemies work means you should not get up close; Oscillation changes things up!
So to the Bungie Devs: GREAT job! I will not be playing this week! Maybe I won't play next week either. God knows more than half of my friends are rarely online and most of my clan isn't either. The vision of losing your player base further is really coming to fruition, and I look forward to the next round of layoffs! Cheers guys!

I (29F) now understand how privilege I am. Having money does give an advantage when starting the adulting part of life.
Medyo late lang yung start ng adulting life ko because I went to law school pa. So I have really been just a student my whole life and heavily dependent on allowance from my dad.
Anyway, right after taking the bar exam, I received a hefty sum of money from my dad. He opened a BPI savings acct for me and deposited it there. Ginalaw ko agad for my adventures lol But he stopped giving me allowance na.
Fast forward to 4 months, I applied for a BPI credit card under my name na. It was approved and my cc limit again was 100k.
In my profession, its difficult daw to apply kasi most likely nirereject ng banks when they find out na lawyer. Idk how true, this information came from my friends lang.
But ayun, I got approved and I'm guessing its because of the savings acct na ginawa for me.
And recently I found out na some people get 15k limit even though they've been working for a long while.
Its really important to build good credit score and good reputation in banks to get easily approved and to raise cc limits. I know in myself that I wouldnt have gotten any of this without my dad's help.
Now, I want to do better and build on what he gifted me. Medyo kalat pa finances ko kasi I used half of what he gifted me to invest in a business (so far no ROI pa), half I spent na. So lahat ng gastos and savings ko comes from my salary.
I have been saving here and there- I put some in digital banks- CIMB (thru gcash) & Seabank. I kept my first savings account and may certain amount na di ko na ginagalaw.
I want to return the favor to my parents in the future- hopefully sooner. But i need a better paying job na lol ang hirap to earn money

Is it ok to install a central dehumidifier that is considered too large? I want the aprilaire e100 installed for basement . size is 1600 sq feet. This dehumidifier is rated for 5500 sq feet. Will it cause any problems because it is too big? How loud is this dehumidifier? It will be hidden away in the utility room since it is getting connected to central ac system.

Para mi trabajo necesito extraer bases de datos de sitios con acceso a información pública, y a veces los datos no están de forma "amigable" para extraer, o sea, tienen como 400 paginas, o por ejemplo cuando copias una tabla y la pegas en excel y queda todo en una misma celda, necesito que alguien me ayude o me enseñe a extraer la información sobre todo en los casos que son muchas páginas y no puedo recorrer una por una.
No sé si se entiende, intenté hacerlo con Python mirando videos de youtube y todo pero siempre me da un error y el excel siempre queda vacío.
Plis ayudenme, gracias
