So like everyone else I watched that deep dive for the PoE2 early access. But sadly I wont be able to afford a key for a while and im kind of craving an ARPG. I played PoE years ago but didnt make it very far. Mainly because the idea of just looking up a build to run instead of making my own kind of bored me because everything was basically solved for me. But now that Im gonna have to wait a while before I can play PoE2. Last time I played I only made it to like act 4 before I stopped. Would it be worth getting invested into PoE1 now so close to PoE2 or should I just wait till I can play 2?

Hi everyone,
I am a sophomore computer science and data science double major and my friend invited me to join his team for the Chicago Trading Competition when he applys. I have some experience with Python, mostly just class work, but I have worked with Java a decent amount, multiple internships. The competition is April 11-12, 2025 so I would like to be able to learn everything I need by at latest March so I have time to work on practice cases.
I have no experience with trading or finances. Does anyone who has competed in this competition or a similar one have any advice on what to learn about? I read another post that was 4 years old and it recommended learning about market makers. Then I asked Chatgpt and it recommended learning options trading and time series analysis too. Is there anything else that I should learn and if you have any free resources that would be so helpful.

I thought to myself - why don't companies make y2k inspired flip phones instead of the clunky boring crap they're making now in the name of being vintage?
If someone did a line of a few classic looking y2k flips with authentic features and designs while incorporating web browsers and a few choice apps like instagram and tik tok - i feel like it would go off.
HMD seems like the company to do it - their barbie phone was promising but it ended up being a displeasing lil thing. What do y'all think?

2024.11.27 02:36 Emminade Encouraging Hamster to Pee in Sand Bath?
I have a sand bath in my hamsterās enclosure that he never really seems interested in. I also added a corner ālitterā tray also filled with sand as my past two hamsters liked to pee in corners and would pee in their corner sand boxes. However my current hamster only pees on his wheel (and presumably in his nest, but the wheel is the only place I smell it). Itās not the biggest deal in the world because the wheel is easy to clean, but Iād love to encourage him to use his sand bath as well as pee there. I canāt really take any soiled bedding and put it in the sand since the only place heās peeing is the wheel. Any suggestions?

Iām a new dog owner (I adopted a super lovable mixed-breed pup a couple of months ago š¶ā¤ļø) and Iāve been diving into learning everything about dog care. One thing thatās been overwhelming is understanding dog supplements. There are soooo many out there claiming to help with skin, coat, joints, digestion, allergies, etc.
I want to do whatās best for my dog but Iām honestly unsure about whatās worth buying and whatās not. So, Iād love to hear from experienced dog owners:
- Do you give your dogs supplements? If yes, what kinds (e.g., joint support, coat care, probiotics, etc.)?
- What brands or products do you trust? Is there any brand I should avoid??
- Do you always consult a vet or just go by trial and error?
Lastly, if you have any general tips for a new dog owner like me, Iām all ears! I want to give my pup the best care possible and would appreciate any advice.
I know this may seem to be a lot of questions for a supplement lol but I know dog parents out here will understand.

Hi everyone, can I have your opinion about deciding to move out from your familyās house? I was thinking about it since 2023, and now I think Iām ready to move out by january 2025. Iām 28 years old, single, no kids, and no bigger responsibilities.
I wanted to make a wise choice, if I move out, I get to experience and learn a lot of things about life, myself, etc. To also add, I really want a space for myself that will benefit my wfh set up, business, mental health and etc.
But also, Iām thinking if I will not move out, I can save so much money, and can travel a lot. But there will be thoughts of āI can never be 28 again and experience to live aloneā
Itās almost december 2024 now, and Iām stuck with moving out thoughts or stay in our house and save more.
What do you guys think?

2024.11.27 02:36 Frecklekelly I feel like such a whiner
6.5 months post ankle ORIF lateral malleolus fracture, displaced anterolateral plafond fracture, severe syndesmosis disruption, torn deltoid, and some minor stuff. I had my 6 month post op appointment a week and a half ago and mentioned that I still have pain and tenderness in one particular area. My dr felt it and said that I wince at exactly the place one of the suture buttons is. So he recommended removal of the tightrope.
The very next day my daughterās 15 pound puppy had the zoomies while at my house. He hit my dangling foot at full speed and I got an intense pain in the center of my ankle, deep inside, and it swelled up really fast. After a while I was able to walk on it, so I went on with my day. The pain got progressively worse over the next couple of days, making it hard to sleep and causing me to limp. I texted my doctor and he said to give it another week and see how itās doing. It hasnāt gotten any better since the day I texted him, but it also hasnāt gotten worse. I can still put weight on it and itās not swelling more than it was before.
Iām hoping to get some advice, insight, thoughts, or opinions. Anyone with experience with suture button removal? Iād love to hear if it helped. Also has anyone else had a similar āinjuryā after surgery?
One of my biggest insecurities is looking like Iām being a whiner or attention seeker, so it takes a lot to reach out to the dr with questions. I love my doc, but I felt dismissed by the response to my concerns about this new pain.
