2 John 1:10 NIV Version: “If anyone comes to you and does not bring this teaching, do not take them into your house or welcome them. Anyone who welcomes them shares in their wicked works.”
According to Bible Ref, “believers should not show hospitality, greet, or even fellowship with people that don’t share or people that believe in teachings that contradicts the Bible. It’s a strong warning against associating with false teachers. “
What if my brother or sister decided she wanted to become atheist or my brothers or even my mom ? Am I obligated to not show them hospitality or fellowship? I’m a loving person and show love to anyone no matter their skin color or faith, even an atheist I’ll still show respect and not scoff at someone’s beliefs cause I wouldn’t like it if they did it to me. If that makes sense, I’m trying to be a genuine student of the Bible and learn more about God, Jesus, Salvation, repentance, end times, etc. but I just don’t know where to start and feel confused, is this talking about non-believers and the and false teachers?

I’ll be traveling from Argentina to Phuket, and I’d appreciate any advice you can give me. This will be my first solo trip, and I plan to stay for 3 to 4 months. Here are my specific questions, though any information is welcome:
How did you book your tickets? Did you opt for direct flights, layovers, or stayed a few days at stopovers to buy low-cost tickets? How much money would I need per month to live? Should I consider getting a job, or would that be unnecessary? Should I get health insurance? If so, which one? What should I be cautious about? Speak english? (23F) so I have the worst luck with dating. Men don't find me physically attractive because I'm physically disabled, so I struggle to find intimacy, connection, and romance with other men irl. Therefore, sometimes a random guy online will dm me and it starts off as a normal conversation, but then it escalates to flirting and more (I don't want to say it but you get the big picture). 2024.11.27 03:38 slipknot_official Sim theory as a neo-religion. Objectivity vs. subjectivity. Materialism vs. idealism. Some thoughts on the direction of this sub.
Something I've noticed thats gaining in this sub, and it's something pretty standard in other related subs, is taking a theory such as sim theory and turning it into an objective belief system. Which then can lead into neo-religious territory.
I see the theory as inherently subjective. It's not a materialist theory. It's is heavily rooted in subjectivity. A simulation or a VR, is an information-based reality, it's not concrete material. I always thought the point is to get away from materialism with more idealist concepts.
Alot of growing beliefs around this subject tend to be more on the negative side - driven by paranoia, suspicion, fear, delusion. The worst is when people preach their delusions as objective, then bite back at anyone who challenges them. That's an issue.
Me staying logically consistent, I'm not throwing out anyones experience. I do believe reality is subjective - but I do not believe it's inherently negative, or we're just slaves, or miserable fear-food, or we have no autonomy or power within our lives.
Life is hard, no doubt. We live in a capitalist world rooted in materialism. We see the issues with that. I see the issues. So I'm not blind. But I'm seeing more and more posts here about how people are just living absolutely miserable lives, and some unseen forces are trying to get them. Then they attack anyone who deviates from that. Like it's impossible for others to have different experiences. Or that they're CIA agents trying to cover up the "truth".
What I'm trying to get at is it would bum me out to see this place go down the path of something like a prison planet sub, or a myriad of other subs which are just toxic places that don't build on any new ideas or information. They believe what they do, and any deviation from that belief is seen as an attempt to "cover up" the truth.
I recently got a mod position here, and I want to get ideas from others to see how they think, or if they're seeing the same thing, or if it just comes with the territory of this subject. I open to having blindspots. I'm just not sure if people are really understanding the subject, and instead are using it to confirm their own beliefs, then pushing it onto others in a negative way.
Just looking thoughts and ideas trying to weed through it all.

I’m currently a Human Resources Specialist (recruitment & placement) for the DON. I was extremely lucky (blessed) to have been hired in as a GS-11 my very first fed job. My 52 weeks are almost up, and I want to look for a GS-12 position. The issue I’m having is, a lot of my coworkers are saying that my job as an HR specialist is a little different from other jobs as an HR specialist. I’m sort of thankful for catching on fairly quickly because I received little to no training when I got hired. My supervisor pretty much took me under her wing and trained me the best way she could. Eventually, I made enough mistakes, and learned enough from my supervisor to get my job down. However, my coworkers say, in order to get the proper training and learn the ins and outs, I may end up having to take a pay cut, and go down to a GS-7 level somewhere else, because I know that if I transfer somewhere else, they will expect me to already be trained, and I won’t know what to do. Any advice?

Our departures to the festival begin every hour on the hour starting at 11:00AM - 5:00PM. The pick-up is a WINDOW that is from the top of the hour through 25 minutes after the hour. Pick-ups are done DIRECTLY FROM YOUR LODGING LOCATION. No hassle of a central meeting point and having to walk and worry about making it on time. HOWEVER, you will need to be IN YOUR LOBBY OR OUTSIDE YOUR LODGING at the top of the hour. Wait time is 3 minutes before the shuttle will leave. The goal is for all pick-ups to be completed in this window and the shuttle to be on the expressway heading to the festival by 25 minutes after the hour. This process restarts after every drop off until 5PM.
Management will be in the field and will not always have the ability to respond to text, e-mails, voicemails, or answer calls when driving so if you have not scheduled prior to Thursday please be patient as we work to respond to you as quickly as possible. WE ARE NOT IGNORING YOU, but we are serving other customers in the safest way possible.
The return trips are set departure times listed below. We ask for your patience and understanding as we navigate through the chaos of traffic while working to return you all to your lodging locations and then return for more attendees. There will be a central location to check in which will be explained and shown on each drop off upon arrival to the Highland Festival Grounds. So, please be respectful when the driver asks for quiet in the vehicle so you can be informed and again have peace of mind on what to do after the festival ends each night!
Return Times each night are as follows:
Early Bird: 9PM
Early Bird 2: 9:30PM
10:00PM
10:30PM
11:00PM
11:30PM
MOP UP: 12:00AM (for those who want to stay the end no matter what but couldn't get on an earlier shuttle)
Each shuttle will be leaving NO LATER than 5 minutes after the scheduled time as it takes 5- 10 minutes just to depart the festival grounds. You will check in with the scheduling coordinator and she will hold you at a staging location until she is ready to load you all for departure. Again the check-in location will be shown to you upon arrival each day so please pay attention when the driver asks for silence so you may be informed.
COMMUNICATION: This is what sets us apart! We use multiple mediums to effectively and efficiently communicate with our customers so they may be informed. Once you are scheduled for 1 or all 4 days you will be added to a group text that is for READ ONLY.
