The Little Car That Couldn’t Crazy Requests, Hardware Store, Office, USA | Right | November 25, 2024
I’m working in the office that sits above a large hardware store and warehouse. The floor manager is in the office doing some admin tasks when a call is forwarded to him. We only hear his end of the conversation:
Manager: “They want to put how many bricks in it?!”
Pause.
Manager: “Twelve hundred pounds?!”
Pause.
Manager: “A Honda Civic?”
Pause.
Manager: “You get those crazy f***ers to sign a waiver before you load it.”
We could all hear that poor little car scrape its way out of the parking lot.
The next day we heard from the manager that the customer’s car crapped out on the freeway home (we googled it and that car’s limit was 850lb) and they wanted to sue us. They claimed the waiver wasn’t binding but so far they haven’t sent a lawyer our way saying so…The Little Car That Couldn’t

 | Recently, I've been trying to find something to shade but also let my Carnivorous plants to photosynthesize in. One of my thoughts are these mini greenhouses cause some of them seems affordable. I did my research on them for hours and found some negatives and positives about it, mainly, it protects your plants from intense sunlight and rain, and that it could potentially cook the plant because of the lack of airflow and accumulated heat. I want to hear your thoughts about it since I think experience is the key for almost everything.  | So im making this clothes/towel hanger and I'm pretty happy with how it's turning out so far, but I'm at the point where I need to cut my dados into my backer board, and I have no clue how to get them layed out so everything is evenly spaced. Each hanger piece is 5/8ths thick (they're like a 64'th over but I have one more pass of sanding to do), and the backer board is 48" long. Following a formula I found on Google my spacing should be 3.795454 inches, or 3 35/44'ths...and you'll forgive me if I'm not about trying to measure that out 🤣 Can anybody tell me how I'm supposed to go about doing the math for this, or if there's a better way to lay out my dado spacing? I'd greatly appreciate it.
