2024.11.27 05:49 Livid_Rise Why don’t I get sad?
So this is kind of a broad topic but I’ve been thinking about it a lot with my new gf and I realized that I just don’t get sad almost ever like the last time I cried was multiple years ago. Like every once in a while I will feel a little bit sad but it’s extremely short lived like less than an hour. Like even at a funeral I attended about a year ago for someone that I was somewhat close to I didn’t cry. I felt pretty sad and was for a couple of hours afterwards but other than that nothing happened. I don’t feel depressed at all and most of my days are pretty good. I have a lot of goals and things I look forward to and overall my life is in a very good spot. But every once in a while I think about this and it kind of weirds me out. I don’t feel like I’m bottling my emotions or anything but maybe I am without noticing it? My gf thinks I should talk to a therapist because she thinks that it’s not healthy to not be sad or cry. But to be honest I don’t even know what I would talk to a therapist about I’m a pretty happy person and most of my days are good but it just makes me wonder if maybe there is something behind it or not. I really don’t have much to be sad about thankfully but when I do I just don’t get that feeling a whole lot it’s just super short lived. Like of course I feel really bad sometimes but It never makes me cry and that feeling is usually gone within an hour. Idk what to think of it but thought I’d post it on here to see if I could get any answers thanks.

Hello all,
I've finished my paper, and wanted to try another brand, so I got a pad of:
Reeves Intro watercolor paper (cold press) and it happens that this paper is not sized at all, and it will soak the chemicals like a sponge, going all the way to the other side of the sheet.
Have anyone have experiences like this with different paper stock ? I tried sizing it with arrowroot starch, and got better results, but there is a yellow tint remaining on the white part of a print that shows the chemicals were not fully washed out after developing.
I'm using tap water with a bit of citric acid for the initial bath.
Any help with sizing it in a proper way will be much appreciated. I will get a different paper but I just don't want this one to go to waste.

I’m having some issues updating my bios. For some reason I haven’t been able to access my bios from startup so I tried to use the button on the back of the mobo.
- Installed latest update of bios on usb stick 2.turned pc off 3.pressed/held bios flash button for 2-3 seconds 4.began flashing red but then went solid red, it’s been solid for about 20 minutes now.

2024.11.27 05:49 noxnoctum How does damage work for +(element) for offhand weapons?
So I'm playing shadowblade right now and I'm sometimes unsure whether I want to equip a weapon in my offhand that does less total damage when adding up its base+elemental damage but comes out to a higher amount if the offhand penalty doesn't apply to the +(element) portion.
For example:
dagger of massacre - 17-20 base power + 0 bonus damage
darkness dagger - 10-13 base power + 4 darkness damage
Is the offhand penalty applied to the 17-20/10-13 portion only? If so, I would want to take the darkness dagger here if I my offhand was at the base 50% damage reduction, correct? 9.0 points of damage vs 8.5 from the massacre dagger (this is assuming I haven't invested any points to reduce the penalty).
Does it work exactly the same way with weapons that do 1 grid damage explosions on hit and such? (no damage reduction penalty?)

2024.11.27 05:49 QualityGig Seeking advice: Build around Sony 7R2 or Buy an Astronomy Camera
Been doing photography for some time (well past novice but still far from professional). Over the years I've found some of the most enjoyable and challenging shots have been nightime shots using a Sony a6000 and, more recently, a gifted 7R2. It's mostly been catching meteor showers, recent eclipses, and other visible eye-type stuff, like comet Tsuchinshan-ATLAS (and the recent aurora borealis), and generally just using the cameras to do what they do, i.e. gather more light over longer periods of time.
I've pushed the barrier of what I can do with the above and a good tripod, e.g. can just make out an anti-tail on Tsuchinshan-ATLAS but, boy, with a better setup it just feels like I could've gotten a much better shot. Don't know if this example has much bearing on my overall question, but it does highlight that I'm pushing the limits of my equipment (I think).
Also think I need to learn more about astro filters/lens.
Anyway, I'm looking to invest in an EQ mount, but then that somewhat quickly raises the question of adding a telescope and then either mounting the 7R2 or a dedicated astronomy camera, e.g. ZWO ASI533MC (but just as an example). I'd just like to pick the best path forward and not turn around a year later and realize the other path would've generated much better output.
Coming at this from the photography end of the tunnel and trying to fill in the gaps in knowledge as well as understand/accept the limits of what I have. Fully understand there are different kinds of astrophotography and no one setup for all.
Immediate goal is to take longer duration, more detailed wide shots, e.g. meteor shower, eclipses, milky way and the like. Then move deeper into the sky for deeper objects.
