For those who have been watching my story, you know that my boyfriend and I got in a fight a few weeks ago over something I feel is minor. He was exhausted, broke up with me, I was convinced he would realize he was making a mountain out of a molehill. We made up 10 days ago.
I had this sick feeling like there was something I was missing. How could he treat me like I was nothing after almost 3 years... and then makeup like it was nothing....? So I snooped. I know it was wrong.
I went in his phone and found he had added a girl in his phone with a heart. Then he renamed it as a male coworker, but he deleted both contacts. Phew, she must not have meant that much.... Most of the call logs were deleted so I thought it was a few phone calls which made me angry but just a phone call.... right? Wrong. I found messages from her... Only her responses...He planned a date while he was "working". Apparently he ditched her in the middle of the date and left... she kept saying how she was sorry she rejected him and that she wanted to kiss him. she begged him to keep talking... they talked for another week and then he ended whatever it was... I know he ended it because there is no contact and her last message was please let me hear your voice one last time... and I saw the final call log... the night before we made up....
I'm so disgusted with him. He's being so nice and helpful. He confessed last night that he misses me and wishes we could spend more time together. (I work 2 jobs and get maybe 1 day a month with him rn). We had a really nice heart to heart and I love him so much... but the betrayal I feel really hurts. I'm just disgusted. This isn't the first time he's reached out to other women during break ups or even when we were together the first year... This is really triggering.
He knows that I know cause I already freaked out. He's demanded I drop it... so verbally I've dropped it but internally I feel like I'm being ripped in half. He doesn't want to talk about it so I can't even get closure....
He told me last night... he wants to get married... I asked him if there was a timeline... next year... I want to marry him and I don't. I love him so much and I've never went out with anyone while we've been together.
Maybe it was a mistake that clarified his feelings for me... Afterall, he did leave her in the middle of the date... maybe he just wanted some attention...? Validation...? maybe he thinks he can't find better....? Maybe he realizes no one else compares...?
I am using my duct tape rn. He asked me to drop it and so I'm trying but I think about her everyday... he has new khakis... I know he must've bought them for the date... he didn't have them before we broke up and now they are just here. He tells me about his favorite hobby and I'm put off because I saw that he was telling her about it during our breakup...
I feel alone. I don't know what I want.
God knows I am not gonna make my side of the street any messier so I'm sitting waiting for some clarification. I don't know how to get through this betrayal... He knows somethings wrong... sometimes I'm myself and sometimes I barely speak to him. I wish I could be the Goddess of Fun and Light but I'm overworked, have no time, and with this news I can't bare to self care
