I just rescued this cat, a lady found her on the street and gave her to me. She is in pretty rough shape. I'm presuming that she is on the older side. She is just skin and bones, the top layer of skin is gone on her nose and it bleeds if it gets touched too much, and I'm pretty positive she has gingivitis. The girl that found her thought about surrendering her to the vet, but when she called and asked about it, the receptionist person said they would most likely just put her down. We do not have a shelter in our area that takes cats either. I'm trying to help her heal to the best of my abilities. Our vet is also booked out right now, there has been a lot of crazy stuff going on with the animals here lately, so even if I could afford it, which I can't, the closest appointment I could get would be a while away (I am however going to try and get her in in the future, I'm just trying to figure out how to help her now) Do you guys have any tips on helping her? I'm trying to get her to eat enough, so I gave her some cooked, unseasoned chicken, chopped finely, and kitten food soaked in bone broth I don't really know what do about her nose, if I don't touch it it scabs up on its own. It hurts her so she isn't a fan of me touching it either I'm going to get that medicated gingivitis water additive tomorrow, and any other gingivitis medicine I can find at our store. Has anyone ever used the water additive before? Does it help? Any other tips are greatly appreciated, thank you!!! (We named her Maple :))

2024.11.27 06:39 Kendall778 Gaming PC nuisance tripping ARC FAULT
I have had issues with my 15 AMP ARC FAULT/CAFCI breaker tripping due to my gaming computer. My old one would do it once a month on average but I got a higher end one and it was doing it up to 3 times in one day. I unplugged everything from ALL outlets except for the PC and one of the two monitors I own, no lights or anything and that seems to tame it. The electrician that worked on these houses in the sub divisions told me to buy an APC UPS 600VA Power surge. How would this fix it? I am aware that changing the breaker would fix it but for what reason is my PC tripping it? It happens when gaming at random times.
Ps: I am familiar with how arc fault works.

Hii so I’ve had a few relationships over the years both with women and men but I’m mostly a switch and I let my partner know this and almost everyone I’ve dated is also a switch but I feel like I always turn out to be the dominant one and then submissive or I get to be the submissive one once or twice then the rest of the time it’s them and it’s nice at times but I want to be babied too and taken care of I just don’t know how to bring this up to my partner because he likes to be submissive a lot but I also want to be submissive because I’m naturally more submissive then dominant it just hurts feeling like I’m the one doing all the work..

Asking the parents out there:
I have a friend who lives in Brazil with toddlers and she wants them to learn English but is struggling to find adequate content for children. She also does not speak English well so she does not want to read the English children's books she found to her kids, for fear of mispronouncing words and having them learn incorrectly.
Do any other non-English speaking parents face similar problems? How do you overcome that? Any recommendation helps!

Planning on a century ride. I’d like to check off the volcano circuit badges but have two questions:
1) Can anyone confirm you DO NOT get a route badge if you manually navigate a route (ie, did not select it from the Home Screen)? I’ve gotten mixed responses but just saw on ZwiftInsider you won’t get one.
2) Is the volcano circuit route badge linked to the 5/10/25 lap badge? As in, can I get the lap badges without getting the route badge (back to Q1, if I manually navigate to volcano circuit)?
2b) I saw someone post there’s a volcano lap counter. Where does that show up?

I joined fetlife a few days ago and met a girl through it. We vibed instantly as she wanted to experience being a little girl and I've been in multiple DDLG settings in the past. I met her yesterday and we had 1 hell of time. She went home with her entire body riddled with bruises and bite marks and claims she slept like a baby all night, which was extremely rare for her.
