I once worked for a semi-known chef, at a place of somewhat renown.
Fathers day weekend was happening, it was Friday, and I was at the front POS of a daytime coffee book place, and night time $50+ per person dinner. (kinda cool, kinda chic, kinda pisses the worker off)
I'm at the front POS, because our small room of 40 was booked all weekend, and we were at max staff, and that POS happens to look like the front of a counter... (which it is during daytime)
This guy comes up and starts chewing me out that my host couldn't seat 14 of them at a 12 top openers played Tetris with to even make work especially when the Resy was for 12.
I was also putting in a 10 tops order at the time. My manager was 2 ft behind the yelling individual trying to find a moment to interrupt, gave up, and felt it was best to let him run out of steam.
I do not give my manager shit for this decision privately, he knew I could take it, and that I was equipped for it. In public, I condone him every chance I get. Like here.
I took the tirade, finished inputting my order, looked up, and gestured to the manager behind him, after the individual finished his fireworks.
Long story short... that dude probably planned his whole weekend, wife added 2 more at the last moment and took it out on me.
Sucks to be me, sucks to be him more. He has to live with situation.
Breath this week folks... these people don't know how to go to restaurants... and they suck with their families.
The night before thanksgiving, a combination of these two factors, it will be a shit show. You can make some great money, but it will be a shit show, and most people will not know how to act in public.

I have been reading that a tax transcript from the IRS would have been the better option to submit

So I want to get a decent Bluetooth speaker while sales events are going on. I mainly want to use it on my E-bike (as I use that as my primary vehicle year round) so being decent sounding outside around traffic is a must, but with it not needing to compete with direct engine sounds, it doesn’t have to be as loud as people may assume.
I had gotten a JBL boombox back when they first came out and that was fantastic until now (my battery won’t hold a charge longer than 20 mins)
I am really aiming to stick around the 200$ mark with Black Friday sales going on, so a new Boombox is not in the question, I’ve just had my previous speaker for so long without keeping up with what came out/what’s worth getting so I’m not really sure what would do the best for me.
Currently it’s between:
- JBL “On-The-Go”
- Marshall Middleton
- JBL Partybox encore
- JBL extreme 3 (this is already over budget but I don’t know if the 4 is worlds better and worth if I chose this, it’s like 50$ more for the 4)
- JBL Charge 5 (once again idk if it’s a major difference between extreme and charge)

Just got and tested a Topping DX3 Pro+ with my modded Beyerdynamic DT770 250 ohms but was notably disappointed in what seems to be possibly a bad unit or at least a bad 3.5mm connector at the front of the unit. When connecting my cables (Which test fine with other devices) the connection feels loose and audio only comes from one side unless I rotate and wiggle it to get it just right.
This seems abnormal - right? Best to return and repurchase?

It'll get you rapport and let you escalate really fast, but 1) it's hard to keep it up consistently, you can't just be pumping out jokes that hit every time or do funny shit all the time, most of life is mundane and boring, and 2) it's all gone in the wind if you have an awkward moment or if you're mogged by another douchebro, there's no recall or recourse, it's an all-or-nothing play, and you get no mercy or leeway if you decided to play the asshole beforehand. Still, even with the negatives considered, I think it works better than normal overall.
