2024.11.27 06:29 Dry-Contribution2088 AITA for cutting off my sons allowance, taking away his electronics, and downgrading his phone
I (37F) have always tried to give my son, Jake (15M), a life full of oppurtunities. Growing up without much myself, I wanted to make sure he never felt like he had to go without. He’s always had a nice phone, good clothes, and pretty much anything else he needed or wanted.
Recently, I got a call from his school saying Jake had been bullying a classmate. I was shocked and thought it had to be a mistake. Jake can be a bit spoiled, sure, but I never imagined he’d be a bully. When I asked him about it, he admitted it but acted like it was no big deal. He said it was “just a joke” and that the kid “couldn’t take it.”
Turns out, Jake had been making fun of this classmate for not having a new phone or wearing trendy clothes. My heart sank. I couldn’t believe my son, who I’ve tried so hard to raise right, was behaving like this.
I felt like I had to do something drastic to show him how unacceptable this is. First, I cut off his allowance he won’t be getting a cent from me until he earns my trust back. Then, I took away all his electronics, including his gaming system and tablet. Finally, I downgraded his phone to an old model I had laying around.
Jake was furious. He said I’m humiliating him infront of his friends and that I’m “ruining his life.” Some family members think I went to far, saying that taking away everything won’t teach him empathy and will just make him resentful.
But I don’t see how I can let him go back to life as usual after something like this. He needs to understand how hurtfull his actions were and learn that the things he’s taking for granted are priviledges, not rights.
Am I being to harsh? Or is this the tough love he needs to become a better person?

2024.11.27 06:29 Ramshacked PBC v MBC v Predator
Hey all, I'm putting together my first 2k list and I have about 400 points to fill and I was looking on advice on what to grab. I was thinking either 2 PBCs, 3 Predators or 4 Mephitic Blight Crawlers. I'm going for a largely terminator heavy army, and was going to use these as ranged support.
They all have their strengths and weakeness rules wise, so I'd appreciate any advice from more experienced players, also I'm kind of worried predators may not be supported much longer, I figured the others may have a longer shelf life. Or am I over thinking that?
Any thoughts or advice appreciated.

2024.11.27 06:29 Hungry-Discipline-36 All my fish died, what should i do?
Hello reddits, so i went on a 3 weeks vacation and before i went to a fish store they sold me a cube that was made for tetras. The fish would pick piecies from it. So they would not starve.
The guy told me that it would last for 2 weeks and so i bought 2. I tested it out for in a former holiday of 1 week and it seemed fine. So i left and asked a friend if he could change the cube after 2 weeks. By then almost half of the tank died, i had about 13 neon tetras. He fed what was left but 1 week later when i returned they all died. I feel dumb and bad. So now i have an 3 years old tank with only shrimp left. I would like to do a new scape. New substrate, make a background. New stones and so on. If somebody has experience with this tips are welcome:)

2024.11.27 06:29 Quirky_Fun6544 Getting mad at Fishing Hamlet's layout.
So based on the title, this isn't about the sharks. Even though the sharks are annoying I just ignore them. Besides the one at the beginning, I don't find them worth fighting. But I'm just wondering what the heck is going on in the layout of this place?
Because you get a clear path through a small village and then progress to a swamp area that leads to another village with another lamp. Now, you go underground and for whatever reason there is like 6 different routes, and to my knowledge I have no idea where to go.
I went one way which led me to a cave. It had nothing of value or a way out. So I'm guessing there is a way to progress out from this area but I genuinely don't know at the moment.
And as much as I still don't like Forbidden Woods, at least that area gave you a mandatory path to the boss plus some optional routes. But I don't know where to go in Fishing Hamlet.
I'm just gonna be honest, I am not a fan of layouts that have multiple optional routes. Or at least where it's way too complicated to find out where the freak your supposed to go and trying to locate the mandatory route. Because currently I don't know where I'm supposed to go, or heck, what I am doing here. I know about the Orphan and Kos thing here, but I legit have no idea what to do. Combine that with the fish not leaving you the heck alone, it becomes a pain because all I want to do is leave this area.
