2024.11.27 07:29 RyanOfAlkerath Help me settle a debate between my friends and I over naming puppies
Hoping to be getting two puppies in the house around Christmas and a friend suggested some names that rhyme together, one being Toby and Mopie for example. The debate started because I've heard from somewhere before that dogs and cats both are more prone to understanding the vowels in language, so I think choosing two names that almost rhyme but have the same vowels pronounced the same way would make it harder for the puppies to distinguish their name from their sibling's name. I didn't find many sources backing that up, but I also didn't find many sources really evaluating the way dogs hear human language either that weren't like some basic obedience training stuff.
Does anyone else know of any research that actually talks about this directly to settle this with my friend? It doesn't really matter I suppose, if you're a good pet parent a little confusion on their names would be a negligible difference anyway, but its more about proving a point to a friend tbh. Thanks!

Okay. I know its old aged thing. But lets consider a hypothetical scenario.
We all know how bad the situation of Pakistan, Bangladesh, Srilanka and Myanmar has become. I guess India is the only country which is moving at a faster pace with a more or less decent peace within a country as compared to our neighbouring nations.
So, is there a way that all these nations subsumed into india and given independent administrative status like Schedule 6 but under the sovereignty of India.
Its just a hypothetical scenario I am thinking but for the prosperity of the whole region of South Asia and SE Asia.
What could the be the possible events which you can think of which might lead to a formation of Akhand Bharat (w/o use of violence by India)

2024.11.27 07:29 mynameistrollirl Are all rotary fittings leak-prone? Is there a workaround
Most rotary 45s and 90s in my builds seem to start dripping around the rotary joint. It's starting to infuriate me, granted I don't usually opt for the most expensive fittings, but I see threads about this for all brands all over the place.
Is there something specific to look for when getting rotary fittings, or something I don't understand about setting them up?
I feel like sticking with the non-rotary fixed adapters, but I don't understand how to get them pointing the right way when screwed in, are you just supposed to use thread tape so that it's "tight enough" in your desired orientation?

First of all, I don't want to refer to her as "TAH". What I'm mainly looking for is if I'm doing the right thing or if I am in the wrong because I don't want my opinion to hurt her. We're fairly young and she has her insecurities just like any other girl. I love every bit of her from head to toe, heart to soul. But the thing is the way she sees herself through her eyes is different from what I see of her in mine. She doesn't like how her breasts look and has always wanted to change them via surgery but I fell in love with her the way she is. Her having to get that surgery to love herself makes me feel like less of a boyfriend because it feels like I'm not doing my job as her boyfriend of bringing her security and closure about her body. I do a really good job at making her feel loved the way she is, but I don't want her to rely on surgery to bring her peace of mind and security because I want to help her do that myself. I want to show her just how lovable she really is because it's my goal as her boyfriend to show her that even the things she hates the most about herself can be loved and are deserving of it. AITAH?

So my friend asked me to help with his pc’s ssd. Said he installed it but couldn’t get it to show on the files. So I come over and get more complexed. It’s a 1tb crucial nvme ssd, and it appears in the BIOS and device manager. But, not in disk management. Windows shows up to date drivers and no errors. Any help would be welcomed.

2024.11.27 07:29 Shmullus_Jones Switch Pro controller not working with PC
This isn't really Yuzu related so apologies but I'm hoping someone might have experienced the same thing and be able to help.
So I press the button on top of the controller which puts it into pairing mode (green lights flashing at the bottom). I go to my bluetooth settings and pair it, and it says its paired successfully. At this point, what I believe I should be seeing is the home button glowing blue, but instead I still just see the green lights flashing. In my bluetooth settings, it says its connected. Eventually the green lights stop flashing and it then says disconnected.
If I press something on the controller the green lights start flashing again, my settings say its connected, but then the lights eventually stop and it disconnects. It's like its stuck in pairing mode even though its already paired :(
Anyone had this issue or have any idea how to fix? I tried installing BetterJoyForCemu but it didn't make any difference.
