I have a Kidde brand 10 year Ionization smoke alarm in my hallway that has been getting tripped by the steam from my morning showers after I exit the bathroom. This morning while getting ready I was in a hurry and extremely tired so when the alarm went off I pressed the hush button and threw it underneath my pillow so that it wouldn't be set off again. Fast forward to the evening and I came home exhausted and knocked out in my bed for about 4 hours with my head lying on top of the pillow that had the detector underneath it. I had completely forgotten that I put it there and realized about 15 minutes after I wokeup that it was still there. I read on the back of the device that it contains 0.9 microcuries of Americium 241. I know nothing about this stuff and honestly It's been stressing me out for the last few hours. I would really appreciate it if someone could please let me know if I did something that could potentially cause harm and what to do next if that's the case. I am a 22 year old male from the US, 6'3 about 200lb with no prior history of illness or medications. Thank you for reading.

2024.11.27 07:50 Koshulag Anyone else experiences lag?
Hello everyone. For some reason, since last couple of months, I seem to have constant lag/delay on everything, for example skills have around 0.5 seconds of delay to cast, and things to loot as well. The lag seems to go away when i'm on Delves, but is existent almost anywhere else.
Does anyone experience this and if so, were you able to solve this problem? Thank you!

I recently purchased a MacBook Air M2 (base variant: 8GB RAM, 256GB SSD). After buying it, I found out that Apple has discontinued the base model with 8GB RAM. This got me worried about whether the 8GB RAM would be sufficient for my needs in the long run.
I’m a developer and primarily use my MacBook for tasks like coding, working with cloud computing platforms, and occasional light multitasking (web browsing, some productivity tools, etc.). So far, the system runs smoothly, but I’m concerned about potential performance issues in the future as software and OS updates become more resource-intensive.
I’m currently on macOS 15.1.1. My questions are: 1. Will 8GB RAM be enough for my use case over the next few years? 2. Should I consider upgrading my MacBook in the near future, or is there anything I can do to extend its lifespan? 3. Would it be wise to avoid updating macOS to newer versions down the line to preserve performance?

The tracers and bullet impact is literally invisible when the sun is direct to you, csgo actually used to have good vibrent colors then the washed up cs2 one, i think valve would not see that as a problem cause nobody is talking about this issue and everyone neglected it as its not a shit problem that make your spray really bad.

She's been licking herself and I was told to get her probiotics to take along with the anti (doses hours between each other) which I started doing maybe 5 days ago. She has a history of UTI's as she was overweight and has an overhanging labia. She has not had a UTI for 4 years now. Last night she leaked urine all over herself/bed. Could this be the start of a UTI considering she's been on antibiotics for the last two weeks? Is it just her unbalanced bacteria? Is she getting old? She's been drinking more while on the medication but has not urinated herself or the house until now. Thank you so much for your help. Her name is Lady.

Okay this is an old story but really funny and sooo uncalled for from my MIL. MIL is a very dramatic woman and loves to meddle and be involved with things that don’t concern her. Anyways. It was a week before my kitchen tea or what some may call bridal shower. My sisters and mom created a group with all the ladies attending my kitchen tea and sent along my very hard worked registry. At the time my fiance and I were not living together but we had slowly made his flat a home as any woman would. I mean the guy didn’t have much before me, so I just added my woman’s touch in his place which we would soon call our place after marriage. So we did collect some thrifted TEMPORARY items for his home just to make it more functional if I went over to cook etc. but in no means were these thrifted items the items we wanted long term for our home. Hence why I had a home registry for my kitchen tea (bridal shower). It’s custom to do in my country. Anyways. Here comes old fashioned, cheapskate mother in law and sends a message on the kitchen tea group naming all the items we already had in our home and that guests did not need to buy them from the registry as it was unnecessary as we already had these items. First off why in the hell was it any of her business or responsibility to do say any of that. Just because we had some of those items, that were all old or hand me down or thrifted, wasn’t to say we didn’t need new ones or a matching sets or appliances that worked properly. I was sooo mad when I found this out from one of my sisters. Luckily no one listened to her and most guests already bought from the registry. My sister deleted her message from the group and sent her a private message stating that regardless of what old items we had in our home we wanted new ones for our new lives together and that her message was out of place. It’s just things like this that my MIL does that pisses me off. My fiance found out about it and had a few colourful words with her putting her in her place. She sheepishly messaged me thinking I know and apologised in her own kind of way, not really taking responsibility. Let’s just say it was awkward as hell seeing her at my kitchen tea.

so i just bought Aerre Smooth Jazz which is a dupe for Lancome La Vie Est Belle, i am quite impressed especially for how much i paid.
