2024.11.27 08:50 WinterDelivery_3107 I loved, I lost, I gained. A 5 years story

I never dated during my school or uni years, but only when I started working did I try to make a move on Y (25F at the time). We were both studying for a post work qualification, and we got along really well...or at least at the beginning.
A month in, she would pick fights over small petty things, like me not picking her up from work because I was busy. Even though it only happened once, she once responded "Even my ex wouldn't be so particular". I never really forgot it even 6 years on.
After a year, the relationship transcended into an endless amount of fights fuelled by a mix of her ADHD, our impatience, and our demanding jobs. I mention ADHD because I did my best to work around it but it always ended up with me having to cover for her. Example: She needed to go to the hospital for meds, I specifically asked for 2 weeks notice so I could move my own things around, she would only tell me the morning of, I get angry, she yells at me for "being so fixated on a schedule", and out of love I drive her to the hospital and end up late for work.
We broke up once during Covid when one of our fights got too much for her. During the breakup, she said "I don't appreciate anything you did for me, because I never asked for it". I drove her around everywhere (ADHD makes her unable to drive as per doctor), bring her food, comfort her on bad days, buy her stuff....to be unappreciated like a bag of trash on the roadside.
I was very heartbroken because I put on a lot of effort and did love her. We got back together after 7 months, but I honestly didn't feel the same anymore.
A year after we got back together, I got a job abroad in Europe. I took it but she wasn't happy, and we decided to LDR. Less than a year into the LDR, she got influenced by someone to go to church as she was unhappy with her (still demanding) job. I was much happier abroad, meeting new people, having fun etc but I made time for her. Unfortunately, she made little time for me.
This is not a post to say LDRs don't work. It's the personality of the people in the LDR that do. My ex started to use church as an excuse to not spend time together, e.g. "I'm attending Alpha today" or "I'm at church today, don't call me". When she got baptised she didn't tell me until the day before as she "forgot" to inform me of such an important religious moment. I do not expect her to tell me every single thing she does, but in my opinion the big moments are to be shared with those important to you. At this stage, I knew I wasn't important anymore but I tried to tell myself that I was probably paranoid.
She assured me nothing would change about us even if she went to church, but she lied.
I went back to Malaysia for her 30th birthday in 2023. Took a week off, begged my boss to let me go, flew 13+ hours, rented a car, drove her to Genting...basically tried to make it special. I kissed her before I left for the airport, she wouldn't come as it "interferred with her Bible classes". When I kissed her, I knew something was wrong but I shut up about it.
2 months after that, more alarming behaviours happened. She started quoting the Bible in almost all her sentences, stopped spending time with me, and eventually it came to another fight. This time, she said "You are not Christian, so it makes me feel guilty to be with you". So much for "nothing changing".
At this point, my heart had already distanced itself from her. So I told her to make the final call to let me go. It hurt like hell, I gave her 5 years of my life for her to ditch me for the church. And yes, I know sometimes people change but it still stings until today. I have other Christian friends and I have nothing against the religion specifically, but I am averse to dating someone from the church after this incident. (If it is not obvious, I am not Christian. I was raised Buddhist but am agnostic.)
She still owes me RM10k as I paid off her bond to her company when she decided to break it after completing her post work qualification. She was supposed to stay at least 4 years but she left at 3.5 which meant she was RM20k out of pocket. She couldn't wait half a year to "gain RM20k". With the slightly better FX rate, I decided to help her out of love....but I guess I was just stupid.
We have not spoken ever since, and I have no intention of reclaiming the RM10k. I hope she has a good life with the church. I am now dating someone else who is ironically raised Christian but no longer practises the religion (more atheist). We fit much better and I am happier without my ex.
This is not a post to throw hate on a particular religion, but my takeaway from this would be:

  1. Date someone compatible
  2. If someone treats you terribly, snap yourself out of love and go

When I am moving computers between OUs in AD the computer certificate is not re-enrolled automatically to reflect in subject field new OU. Is it expected or I can configure some GPO or another settings to get new computer cert each time after computer is moved to another OU? BJP won from Congress bastions as well as places with more than 20 % Muslim population, where it rarely won. And the silent work of the Varkaris behind the scenes is believed to be a factor.

This doesn't work and the picture is just cloned across the two monitors.

Hey! I was talking to my friend tonight and she was saying she had a lot more nightmares than usual last night, and last night she didn’t wear AirPods to sleep as she usually does.
Obviously this is just one night so it doesn’t mean anything immediately, but as someone who has a lot of interest in dreaming, I never really thought about the possible changes in dreaming patterns due to things like sound.
Wanted to see what y’all thought, cuz with 4+ years of dream journaling, practicing reality checks, and working on lucidity, I have never experimented with different environments like sound and wondered what knowledge/experience y’all have.

Went for a sight test yesterday and given eye drops. 20 minutes later, anything with a light eg. Lampost, cars, traffic lights etc, have turned into shiny snowflakes.
No - never taken drugs, so I wasn't tripping or anything like that.
Eyes stayed like that for about two hours - much to the amusement of my other half.
Anyone else had a strange but funny reaction or when taking medicine?
