Hi guys, yesterday i modded a keyboard (redragon k556 brown) for the first time and i thought i did a great job. But then, when i plugged the keyboard in, 15-20 keys just wouldn't work. Managed to fix some of them by checking if the switch landed properly but others stay inactive. I disassembled the keyboard and found that few columns aren't lit, but when i press the left hole of a cell it lights a bit. I'll leave the pictures in here. Some cells do light up but don't work. Is my pcb done for?
Mods:
- EVA foam (red one, first pic) on the bottom
- 3 layers of painters tape on the back of pcb
- EVA foam (yellow/green) on top of pcb

Hello everyone,
I am developing a web app using React, Expo, and node.js. I want to include a feature that allows the user to input a youtube video url, and the app extracts the transcript from the video. I found a python library called "youtube-transcript-api" that can be useful for this.
Can someone please instruct me with how to have python code working alongside my node.js code? Perhaps there is a way to define the python function in a .py file and then import that function in my .js file? Or maybe there's some other way?
I would appreciate any help and guidance.

There is no way it gets delayed, no matter how much we protest. They created an entire gacha system for this, this skin is basically a whole ass 'nother event.(no matter how it looks)
The profits that they'll make from the Asian markets alone will completely demolish any attempt at protesting the skin. They play gachas simply because they like gachas, they'll spend upwards of 200 dollars and not even play jinx just because they like gambling.
Now this isn't me trying to say you shouldn't protest it and ask for something better, but I'm not getting my hopes up.
To be honest, I already have 16k rp in my account and nothing else to spend it on so, let's hope I get it in 40.

2024.11.27 11:40 Rollious 2D vector conversion to a quaternion rotation direction?
Hello askmath, I have a little problem I'd like to solve and even try to see if its possible. As I have some problems understanding quaternions, I wanted to try some experts here :).
So some context for the following problem: I'm a game dev and would like to rotate an item according to the direction where the player is "looking". So basically a 2D vector is formed toward the direction of the mouse on the screen. The vector gets reset to a zero vector everytime the mouse stops moving and is updated according the mouse movement.

So as it stands, I'd like to transform the 2D vector to a rotation direction. e.g. if I move the mouse along the x-axis to the right, the quaternion would create a rotation toward the right. Would this be possible askmath?
P.S I'll try to research the topic more in depth on the side and give additional information/context when needed.

So, I have been looking round for a used car for around 3 months now and struggling to find something that either doesn't have a terrible MOT History, when I look at reviews doesn't sound like a financial timebomb or when I contact people they are withholding of info or starts ending out red flags that puts you off.
Basically I have £4.5K Budget, the car needs to be auto. It will be used at weekends for shop runs, days out etc, and then probably once every month will likely be a long journey round trip of about 200 miles to 400 miles. This may increase over the next year to two (aging parents). I like something a bit nippy and fun to drive, but will also need to have a good amount of space in order to accommodate potentially lugging a load of stuff or a few extra people on those longer trips. I have looked at a multitude of cars and for the life of me cant figure out what to go for and have now lost confidence in anything. I don't have much of an idea about what is good what is not, really don't want to make a poor decision and end up paying out the wazoo every few months on repairs or owning something for the next 5 years or so that I dont like driving!
I would really appreciate some help in what to choose and if possible a few links on autotrader or the like would be amazing. On the South Coast but willing to travel for the right deal! Thanks all!!!

Hi,
This might be sort of a daft question, but for any solicitors out there, is it possible to get a solid work/life balance?
I've an undergraduate degree in law, but I've taken a year to do a filler job at the moment while I figure out my next steps. I've quite a few hobbies, writing and travelling among the most important to me.
It just seems like the culture in law is to let work consume you completely, so that all you can do is work, eat, sleep.
For this reason I'm considering getting into currently considering other careers. I'd love to do something around writing but it seems to be hard to make a decent living. Teaching's the next option, and I've a lot of experience working with kids.
Any thoughts on this?

My workload have been increased drastically with projects after projects and demanding timeline to meet for them. I’m a one man show for what I do and there my bosses said that there’s no budget for an additional headcount to help relief my workload. At times I’m feeling overwhelmed especially when people are giving tight deadlines to deliver. There are other ‘side quests’ too every now and then but I did not have the time to handle them. People are demanding at workplace, deliverables are often taken by people without appreciation too.
Although when people came to us with new projects or side quests and expect us to start asap, my bosses will try and explain to them our situation but it doesn’t feel good to me because I will feel that people will judge me for being incapable to work fast and act fast hence the ball is always on my court.
If you are in my position will you feel the same or what will you do to help make yourself feel better?
