i am a student and i already have 2 ipads(8th gen and pro M2 12.9”) these 2 get my work mostly done i take down most of my notes on ipad pro. i have never used macbook in my entire life but it looks very appealing so i was curious what a macbook will add to my experience and what one usually uses it for(except for coding or video/picture editing cause i have nothing to do with either of them). suggest me if i should get MacBook? i would not sell any of those ipads for it but still would it be of any use or just a waste of few bucks?

Ik ben nu zo'n 3 jaar werkzaam bij een klein groothandelbedrijf (13 man) als "operationeel manager". Mijn voornaamste werkzaamheden zijn de inrichting en implementatie van een nieuw ERP systeem. Ook ben ik verantwoordelijk voor het opnieuw inrichten van voorraadbeheer en de nieuwe structuudiscipline die daarbij komt kijken. Buiten deze werkzaamheden om probeer ik zo veel mogelijk bij te springen in het magazijn en doe ik ook nog administratief werk.
Ik ben vanuit het magazijn in deze functie gegroeid. Ik heb hier geen opleiding voor gehad maar heb dit mezelf aangeleerd.
Mijn huidige salaris is 2800 bruto op basis van 40 uur. Ik werk zelf 36 uur.
Graag zou ik nog een stap vooruit willen zetten m.b.t. dit salaris. Ons bedrijf werkt niet met een CAO en omdat ik zo veel gevarieerd werk doe, weet ik niet precies wat dan wél een passend salaris voor mij zou zijn.
Ook weet ik niet goed hoe ik dit gesprek aan moet gaan.
Tips zijn welkom.

I have been sick for a month. It started out as bronchitis, went to pneumonia. Went on antibiotics ( Levofloxacin) for 7 days, seemed to clear it up (although still have a productive cough) now I have some sinus thing going on. I’m immunocompromised (I have MS) just wondering if there are any vitamins/ supplements that I can take to help my body fight whatever is going on. I’m sick and tired, of being sick and tired!!!
38 female in Canada, which I know will play a role in what’s available.
Only other meds I am on currently is Wellbutrin Xl (450mg)

2024.11.27 11:47 Aggressive-Drama6730 Frozen funds for over 9 days and counting without any resolution from Wirex
I've transferred €7,950.00 to Wirex via IBAN, from my own bank account. The funds arrived to my Wirex account at 07:30 GMT. I was able to exchange to XRP but when I went to send, my funds were frozen. I noticed on the XRPL that the XRP was never in my Wirex XRP wallet account and so I've been wondering where is my money since. So far over 9 days have passed and I continue being denied access to my funds. I've tried endlessly to contact Wirex to expedite the resolution of the situation without any success for which I'm having to conclude Wirex is showing no serious interest in unlocking access to my funds.
The ticket numbers are: 6034552, 6034601, 6034561. I've been contacted by the Wirex Review Team over 8 days ago and provided the requested information and respective documents promptly.
I request immediate resolution of the situation, since the day the funds have initially arrived to Wirex I've experienced a loss of approximately 10% due to the friction and increased volatility risk proportionated by Wirex during this process, which could have been averted had Wirex alerted me as soon as the funds arrived at the account (not after buying XRP and initiating a outgoing transfer).
Also there was the opportunity to do these requests weeks earlier when I started increasing the frequency of the Wirex card usage.
I know in your responses you say that you are a regulated entity and this is all a process to do your due diligence but if that is true, then your time standard and communication are outright unacceptable and in multiple direct violations of the principles for commercial operations set out by the regulators.
One example could simply be:
FCA Principle 7 - Communications with clients
A firm must pay due regard to the information needs of its clients, and communicate information to them in a way which is clear, fair and not misleading.In the app the process is temporary and can take a few hours. Misleading. It is taking weeks.
That was just one simple example and it can be easily verified that Wirex is failing to comply with even more principles, namely principles 2, 3, 6, 7, 8, 10 and 10.

I use Proton Drive mainly for more sensitive type of files I'd like to store safely.
The Proton Drive app creates a synced folder on my computer with all the files just stored normally on the drive, just like the Google Drive app.
I think it could be a great feature (especially for a privacy-focused product) to have the files downloaded in their encrypted form, requiring to unlock the folder in order to view the content. Kind of like how VeraCrypt works.

I am currently working as a Data Analyst with 16 months of experience and wanted to get into Data Engineering. Have been trying for 5 months and this is my first time getting a call back for the role of Data Reliability Engineer. While I am excited, I have since found out that it's an internship, and that means no job security or benefits of a full time employee (health insurance, etc).
If I pass all the rounds, do I risk it and take the role or continue searching for full time positions?
