2024.11.27 13:31 Weekly_Leading_5330 Not being taught necessary skills for coursework.
I recently started a university module on Data Science. Initially, I wasn’t enjoying it, and by week 3, I asked if I could switch modules. Unfortunately, I was told that the latest I could switch was by week 2.
For our case study topics, I chose epidemiology. However, most of the lectures and workshops so far have been focused on other topics (Topic 1 and Topic 2). I kept waiting for sessions relevant to my chosen topic, but when they finally came around, it was quite underwhelming. We had just one 2-hour lecture that covered what epidemiology is, which felt unnecessary since this module is only available to biosciences students who have already done entire modules on epidemiology before.
Then, we had a 1-hour workshop, during which we only had time to cover one of the four sections of the coursework. To make matters worse, my friend, who also chose epidemiology, couldn’t attend the workshop because of snow. When she emailed to explain, she was initially offered a catch-up session, but when she tried to follow up, it seemed that offer had been withdrawn.
When we’ve asked the lecturer for assistance, they’ve simply told us to use the provided resources. However, these resources only cover one section of the coursework and were initially hidden from students. I had to escalate the issue to my course leader, who finally made the materials visible.
Now, I have 5 weeks left until the coursework deadline, and I’m feeling really stuck. Does anyone have advice on how to escalate this and get it sorted

I will get a not-so-good mark on one methods assignment I finished recently, so I wanted to ask if anyone here expects subjects to scale down even lower in the coming years. I can still get an overall mark of 93% if I study every day, but I don't know if this is enough for the ATAR I want since I take a few difficult subjects that I could score even lower in. I am trying to get an ATAR in the high 90s. If my mark doesn't scale as high as it would've in previous years, then my goal might not be so realistic.
Also, if anyone reading this has achieved an ATAR of 99+, what was your lowest-scoring subject that counted towards your ATAR, and what overall result did you get for that subject? (if you would like to share, of course)

Hello together, I booked a flight for me and my girlfriend this December. We are flying from Frankfurt to Chicago and than to Cancun. I accidentally messed up her date of birth (she almost killed me) and put 14th of January 1996 instead of 14th of December 1996.
All flights are with United. We both have the United App and she signed up there with her correct date of birth. So in the App it shows her correct date of birth. On the ticket or the booking, I can’t even see the date of birth anymore.
Question: Will we have any trouble checking in at Frankfurt airport/ immigration line for transit in the US? We both have an ESTA and all the documents we need to travel. Just a little stressed out now because I know these kind of things used to cause issues in the past.

Sure farming liquid metal slimes would give me the most exp but I would have to hope they don't run away. There is also 2 places that spawn enemies that give around 10,000 exp or enemies that spawn other enemies and idk which one would be the best
