I'm currently in college studying software engineering and was thinking of creating a useful piece of software for my portfolio. I was thinking about what problems I've recently had and how I could solve it via software.
Recently I've been trying to find pygmy corys however I've been having a really hard time finding any stores near me that stock them, and it's been very time consuming calling each one and googling for stores.
Therefore, I came up with the idea of a LFS stock website, which would consist of a map of stores, and you could click one to see what types of fish they are selling currently, as well as filter to find the closest store to you selling the desired fish.
I know this is quite ambitious as it'd require stores to sign up and keep accurate stock information, however I can see it being a very useful tool in the aquatic industry.

So as the rule is right now we get one free item interaction, this can be opening a door or un or regular sheathing of a weapon. After that it takes an actual action to interact with objects. This posed a problem to my player’s character who I was DM for who liked to swap between different weapons but couldn’t sheath a weapon while taking another out. So I made a house rule that instead of taking another action to interact with an object it instead consumes a space of movement 5ft per object interaction after the first. I thought this was a clever way to allow for more object interactions. This was a while ago and since then I’ve only had one person try to abuse this rule by drinking numerous positions or throwing bombs, I just told him that drinking and throwing or using magic objects are just plain actions/bonus. I add this incase a person reading this thought of a similar loop hole as this player had tried.

Hello! I am currently an FLDP analyst that has worked in a handful of finance shops over my 2.5 years of experience (healthcare industry).
I am taking an interview for a new company on Monday with the director and Sr. Director of the prospective team (manufacturing industry). This role seems to be a blend of accounting & FP&A, with the analyst owning the close close accounting process and then post-close reporting on results, variance analysis, etc.
This will be my first job interview since graduating and gaining actual experience, and I was wondering what differences I should expect compared to my interviews during undergrad. Already expecting questions on my experience and how it will correlate to the new role/industry, behavioral questions related to projects I’ve done, and maybe some technical stuff; I’m prepping answers for those now.
Is there anything else that I should look out for? Thank you in advance!

I would like to seek your advice regarding my career and what 2025 may hold for me. I’ve tried my best to stay calm and have developed a thick skin throughout 2024 but it has been a deeply frustrating and unlucky year.
In October 2024 I was laid off from a job I truly loved. I’ve been attempting to get my driver’s license since May 2024 but every time I attend a test, I fail due to my nerves despite driving very well in my classes. Even though it’s just been a month, the job search has yielded nothing. 2024 feels as though no matter what I do, I keep hitting a brick wall. The good (or bad) thing is that if I want something, I’ll never ever give up, which makes each failure a bit more painful. A lot of inner work has gone into myself in 2024 but it only feels like I have nothing to show for it.
The blessings: I have a wonderful family and a very supportive partner, and enough savings to last me some time. I’ve gone through tougher times before and came out a better person.
What I really want to know is, does 2025 hold better prospects? Will I get my career back on track or am I in for a period of disappointment? Will the frustration ever end? I will not back down on my efforts, but today, I’m not seeing any light at the end of this tunnel. Please guide me 🙏🏽
