I decided to try dry salting my turkey this year but realized I made a few terrible blunder, and I’m hoping I caught it fast enough before ruining thanksgiving dinner. I would appreciate your feedback on if my remedies will work.
Last night I applied a generous amount (about 4 tablespoons), of table salt to the outside of the turkey, cavity, and inside the skin of the turkey breast. I’m with my mother for thanksgiving and she refuses to buy kosher salt, and I was too tired to go out to the store to buy it, so I used what I had. This was about 8pm. I covered it and put it in the fridge. My plan was to let it sit salted for about 36 hours and bake the turkey with a garlic lemon herb butter all over and inside the skin.
But I woke up this morning at 7am feeling like I messed up. My mother bought the turkey and I couldn’t find the packaging, so I wasn’t sure if it was pre-brined before I salted it. And upon further research, I realized I should’ve just made the extra step to go out and buy kosher salt. I got up in a panic realizing I may have banished our turkey into overly salty hell.
So at 7:30am, I immediately pulled the turkey from the fridge and rinsed it, both inside and out, with cold water. After a thorough rinse, I pat it dry and rubbed it with chopped fresh thyme, rosemary, a zest of one lemon, and some black pepper. I just put it back in the fridge now. I plan to prep it for a roast tomorrow, with the same garlic lemon herb butter (now with ZERO salt), little over 30 hours from now.
Did the 11 hours of salt ruin the taste and texture of my turkey? Do you think my attempt with the lemon zest, rosemary, thyme, and pepper is futile? Have you dealt with a scenario like this, and if so, how did you save your turkey?
Please be kind to me. I’m helping out my mom with the turkey this year and I don’t want to disappoint her.

The group would have different sub-catagory within the community like, Queer Entreprenures, Businesses, Roomates/ Rentals, Job Boards, Social Events, etc... where you can join or leave as you wish. Features on WhatsApp allows people to search and connect with active members in the LGBTQ+ communities.
I know there are some facebook groups for all this but maybe this could another outlet for others who are not active online and offer something more accessible.

Niche issue perhaps, but how would users in the UK verify their IDs with Klarna if they do not have UK identification documents?
My friend has EU Settlement Status, and holds a foreign Passport, ID Card, and Driver License. Klarna refuses to accept any of the docs in the UK and tells user that "GBR ID is required". My friend has decided that they will have to stop using Klarna in that case as there is no way in the underworld they would bother getting citizenship (passport)to use a payment service. Also important to note that their driver license is valid for the entirety of its remaining valid period (7 years) as it was obtained while the UK was still bound by EU rules on this. Therefore the cost of obtaining UK documents would massively outweigh the benefits of using Klarna.
So, is there anything they can do about this that UK users have heard of? Or is Klarna seriously just excluding (potentially) thousands of customers in the UK with these rules?

I get the 'ick' whenever a man calls me 'sweetheart' (other than my dad, older male relatives, and my husband). It makes me feel like he considers me a child or someone not worthy of respect, but when a woman in her 50s+ calls me that I get the warm and fuzzys. Same when an older Latina woman calls me 'mama.' I don't feel condescended, I feel cared for. Why is that?

I purchased a Level Lock, based on favorable review. However, I feel that I was deceived since all the promotional material did not tell me that I needed an additional piece of hardware (Level Connect) at $79 to achieve full remote functionality of the lock. I am not using Matter, Alexa, Ring in my home environment. The manufacturer should be encouraged to show full transparency and disclosure. Perhaps offering a good discount when Level Connect is purchased would also be a sign of good will.
