Sultana - excited to finally get to try this perfume. I’ve loved the scent as a soap, in the Bewitched bubble bar, & of course the Blackberry bath bomb. It’s berry/fruity but not how someone would normally expect from those words - I like it because it feels comforting and clean and simple.
HIWTK - excited for a candle to be able to sniff at my desk. Hoping it smells like old favorites - the solid perfume, Noni I Washed the Kids body lotion - and those available now that I love - the body spray & Shoot for the Stars scrub. To me it’s a caramel/honey scent if it were infused with flowers of some kind. Enough to be more floral than the “gourmand” trend so many new Lushies are obsessed with. There are current products supposedly in this scent from Lush that are huge misses for me - the soap has become weaker somehow, and the shower gel has always smelled to me literally of rotten fish. Others have said also that HIWTK smelled different before my time! I hope this candle will make the retro Lushies happy - we will see.
The Bee’s Knee’s - this is a blind buy. I’m hoping it lives up to its advertising - a more unique honey scent, seems both sophisticated and rustic. One of my favorite products ever was Honeywood, bestowed upon me by a Lush elder so to speak - it was honey but herbal, supposedly related to HIWTK but to me something else entirely. I’m excited to see what Lush did here with a new honey scent, but not brave enough to pull the trigger on the liquid perfume. I do miss my old HIWTK solid so the idea of having some kind of honey solid from Lush makes me happy.
Milky Bath - tentatively excited about this one. It will either be perfect or a disaster, not to be melodramatic, but it’s one of my favorite Lush scents (as the bubble bar & the soap) and I had a horrible experience recently with the Milky Bucket jelly. I couldn’t stop sniffing it before I actually used it. But when it got wet, I ended up reeking of straight patchouli, our two-floor apartment got flooded with the scent such that my boyfriend who is sensitive to smells could barely tolerate staying in the building and I had to shower again so he didn’t feel sick when we went to bed, and the jelly itself smelled of sour milk the next time I opened it. I’m trusting Lush that it was just an issue with the formulation, and trying to remember the scent I love. To me, it’s what everyone on the sub has been saying - clean, soapy. It feels bright and happy and a bit sweet. It certainly normally does not smell like patchouli to me. So this purchase is a gamble.
The Old Songs are Waking - this is a blind buy. It seems that the scrub is one of the most beloved products released in the last several years when I stepped away from Lush. I have too many other scrubs and have a preference this time around not to use “expired” products, so this is my only real chance to experience this scent. I’ve heard it’s like sweet candy, maybe vanilla, more sophisticated or palatable or whatever than snow fairy. I like snow fairy (mainly the body conditioner, which had more depth to it, smelled of cherry) but would never use the body spray. So this will be interesting.
Cinders - This is a potentially unwise blind buy. I did it because of a sheer love of cinnamon and fall scents. I love clove for example, whether in Turmeric Latte (I think clove oil may not be in the ingredients but clove is definitely in the fragrance) or in V, or in the new Phenomenal soap (& Bah Humbug bath bomb). My favorite massage bar is Wiccy Magic Muscles. I still have Hot Toddy shower gel from several years ago that’s one of the few expired things I use because I can’t help myself. The unwise aspect is about the almond, which Lush went so far as to describe as being like marzipan, in the product description. I really dislike marzipan and can’t tolerate Snowcake no matter how hard I try (if any Snowcake lovers are reading this and didn’t know, you should check out the Snow Bear soap). I think the main reasons I’m trying this are: a) I’m curious about a spice / cinnamon smell from Lush that isn’t dependent on heavy clove and b) allthingslushUk was such a fan that I’ve been curious about it. Wish me luck!
Butterball - this may also be unwise, but isn’t a blind buy. I’ve loved the bath bomb forever and I did enjoy Snuggles (which, weirdly enough, I got to try along with yummy custard because of a giftset online from Ulta, since I got back into Lush after they were gone). The unwise factor is that I once had the perfume oil and really could not stand it. It was a really heavy scent, where the ylang ylang and musk just came down on you hard, and it wasn’t the light/warm/slightly chocolatey or milky scent I was used to. So this purchase is… unlikely to go well for me. But I love some aspects of the scent enough to hold out hope here.
I will come back to this post once I receive these items to give updates on what they smell like to me! I hope others enjoy and have a chance to get their hands on something that really interests them or that they miss.

2024.11.27 15:30 Sea-Ad5375 XPS Series Redesign

Do we think there is any chance dell does a slight redesign on the XPS Series this year (maybe adding a physical escape key and moving the fingerprint/power button)? I am so close to pulling the trigger on a zephyrus G16 as I have a 5 yo XPS 15 that is starting to struggle with Solidworks a bit. I'm just hoping, maybe, if I wait a year or two they will fix some polarizing issues and I can't get another XPS as my next machine.

Maybe im stupid but this mod is weird to me.
Normal ck3 i take any country and start going to war and try to become as big as I can. Pretty simple.
With this mod, I feel like there's nothing to actually do except with the beyond the wall savages or the people in the east.
Like I tried playing as the martels. Quickly enough robert won the war, peace was brought on and it forced me to continue as robert because he was the king of the kingdom now. I tried to play as the stark during the hot d timeline. Nothing was happening at all.
It seems to me like you either get fucked by the plague or take a timeline where peace is prominent and there's nothing to do.
Am I stupid? Well i know im stupid but what am I missing? Im usually good at making up my own goals but unless im playing as a small nobody territory with other small territories to conquer around them, there's just nothing to do.
Please help me have fun.

Hi! On my food bank stop a while ago I got a HUGE bag of sugared dried fig bits as my preserved fruit- I don’t like food waste and I’m not picky so I’ve been trying to finish them off, but there’s really only so many dried figs you can eat before you start getting sick of them . I still have like 3/4 of a bag and I’m trying to figure out how to eat the rest of them. I’ve thought about making a trail/snack mix, but can anyone think of anything else I can use them for?
