2024.11.27 16:29 billsteve My Emulator hotkeys are not working on a new install, specifically Citra 3DS.
I had an LCD SD and all my shortcuts worked but once I reinstalled everything on my new OLED I can't use them in Citra. Using RT to change the screen layout and quickly load and save a state would be helpful. I can't even press menu + options to close the program. I feel like I'm missing something simple.

Hi everyone, I’m seeking advice on how to handle a difficult situation with my stepfather. While this isn’t about ongoing physical abuse, his behavior has caused years of mental stress, minor threats, and constant tension for my family.
Here’s the context:
• My stepfather seems like a narcissist—he refuses to acknowledge any wrongdoing, blames my mom for problems, and then later apologizes.
• My mom and stepfather have had a strained relationship for years, with constant arguments, manipulation, and even infidelity. We’ve finally moved out and separated from him, but he still knows where we live.
• My mom had to leave the country for an emergency, so it’s just me (working full-time) and my teenage siblings at home.
My concerns:
• My siblings are generally happy and comfortable in the house when he’s not around. One of them, however, lived with him their whole life and experienced years of shouting and anger as a child. Though my stepfather has mellowed slightly, those years of treatment left a lasting impact. My sibling still feels anxious, believing our stepfather is always mad, and it’s only now, after we’ve moved, that they finally feel free.
• A couple of times, there have been physical incidents—not beating, but still enough to be concerning. These moments stuck with me and added to the anxiety we all feel around him.
• After moving out, there have been times when he called or insisted on coming over to argue, especially after a fight with my mom over the phone. During those moments, everyone panicked, and my sibling became extremely anxious. We almost called the police once, but he eventually said he wouldn’t come, and we all felt relieved.
• He’s also incredibly inconsistent—he’ll say one thing and then completely change his mind, leaving us all confused and frustrated. It’s exhausting trying to figure out where he stands or what he’ll do next.
• What’s even more frustrating is how he talks about family as if it’s some precious gem, yet his actions completely contradict that. It’s hypocritical and adds to the emotional strain.
• Personally, I’m exhausted from watching my mom always stressed, my siblings living in fear, and our family never feeling fully free. I lived with him for a couple of years, pretending everything was fine for my mom’s sake, but it’s become too much. I don’t want to tolerate it anymore.
While he hasn’t done anything recently physical, I’m worried about his unpredictability, especially when I’m at work and my siblings are home alone. Would this situation be enough to report under domestic abuse or mental health-related concerns? Should I involve the authorities or reach out to someone else for advice?

hi! i just got accepted into murdoch’s program for 2025, but i am planning to defer as i am still waiting on my uk offers. the online response system says that there is an option to defer until 2025 mid year instead of waiting a whole year and only joining the school in 2026 start of year. as there is only a single intake at the start of the year annually for murdoch’s vet program, how does this work? additionally, does anyone have any experience deferring with murdoch and will my application be likely rescinded if i choose to defer?
