Have you ever booked a group tour where it was uncertain where it would start? I'd love to do a small group tour through Syria next year. The usual starting point is Beirut. For obvious reasons, tours started in Amman as of lately. From my home in Germany it's fairly cheap to get flights to Beirut if booked way in advance. It's rather expensive to get to Amman, and ridiculously expensive if booking last minutes. This uncertainly makes me question this trip to be honest, though I'd so love to do it. Anyone dealt with something similar?

2024.11.27 18:39 OkAdministration498 Father passed in July, 2024 and I'm now starting to feel the grief
My father passed away on July 15th, 2024. His birthday is this Saturday, November 30th.
When we first learned my father was sick, I brought my work computer home to try and work from home and help out my family. I didn't realize the extent of which he was sick and had to take a month off to care for him with my mom and sister. I was very fortunate work allowed me that time. I took a week after he passed before going back to work and needed to take more time off when I hadn't dealt with my grief, for 2 weeks. Fast forward to this month and I can't get it together. My mom is struggling (she lives on the other side of the country) and I try and support from a far. Christmas is coming up. I'm in a newer and higher up position in work and I feel like I'm drowning. I got sober 3 months ago because I wasn't coping well. I can't motivate myself to do anything. My dishes pile up, I find I'm working from home more because I am just randomly crying and I have so little energy. I've already been diagnosed with depression and anxiety, for many years, and I'm getting to the point where I'm saying "eff it" to work stuff and socializing. Closing my computer early. Mostly, I feel terribly embarrassed that I can't be even 80%. I don't want to let people down. I'm starting grief counselling on Friday but I can't stand how unpredictable my mood is. I feel a lot of shame. I don't know if it is normal to talk to work and be like, "Hey thanks for all the help but I'm still really struggling." I should have been more gentle with myself earlier so I didn't have to come back around to this again. Is this common at 4 months? Idk what to do... am I being dramatic?

I have an offer to purchase a pair of KEF Q150 speakers, in really good condition (two very minor blemishes to the cabinets), with the original box and packaging. They are on sale new for $350 all over the place right now, but I consider $200 a good enough discount to think of it as an opportunistic buy. Otherwise I am not necessarily in the market for these speakers currently.
These would be "extra" speakers, but I am a little excited to try out owning a pair of KEFs -- especially at a good price. I'd likely pair these with one of the inexpensive amps from Amazon (maybe an Aiyima 07 Max) and a streaming device. I am aware of the need to be mindful of how hard I drive these speakers. They'd be in a location where this would not be a problem.
What are your thoughts?
