2024.11.27 18:36 OkCombination6784 I need advice, teen dealing with grown man
I been having issues with a teacher, he took a very strong liking to me my freshman year, and from then to my junior year, he’s been acting weirder and weirder. He says very manipulative things like “you need me even if you don’t realize” and making us sound very very similar, comparing us and telling me that he knows better than I think he does, that he can figure me out n stuff like that, try’d many many times to get me to skip classes to come hang w him in his room, very obvious favoritism towards me, and constantly talks about how we’re smoking/ hanging out+ jam (he’s a music teacher) after I graduate. Last year was my junior year and that’s when it was really really bad, all of the above and an instance were he “trapped” me in a practice room and he went a little crazy on me because he thought I didn’t understand why he does all of the things he does for me (this situation is what made me start to question his motive, crazy things were said in that room). He was always in competition with my friends for some reason, saying things to them like “well what can you do for her, I can do a lot for her, a lot more than you can”. He himself was going through a lot this whole time being a single father and going through mental stuff too and would talk to me abt it (not very detailed, just that he hates women?? A big point I remember), and used me as part of a support system. Towards the end of the year he kept telling me about this woman he was talking to and he seemed to really like her. It was good but js a little strange because he kept saying that he really wanted me to meet her, that we’d really like each other, and that we’re into some of the same stuff. This is just a watered down version of evens because the actual story is very very long, but needed for context.
It’s now 3 months into my senior year and things I feel have gotten better. He doesn’t say much of those things anymore, and it’s not much outward favoritism, but it’s still there which I was kind of expecting. Him and the woman have been dating for at least 5 months but max 7. He himself seems a lot happier and a lot of the stuff I was dealing with previousy from him has stopped. Through the time everything was happening I really did trust him and befriend him in a very appropriate teacher student relationship, but he was just pushing boundaries the whole time and it was really uncomfortable. I’ve been struggling a lot this year with mental and school and he’s been a very big support. I haven’t forgotten about what happened, but I don’t know if I should hold it against him, because the way it seems is that he didn’t even know he was treating me that way. That doesn’t excuse it obviously but if he didn’t know then what do I do? It seems like he was just really lonely and I got the backlash from it, but now he has the woman and things have stopped. But this was also happening to a peer of mine from him last year, to about the same extent. It started around the same time it started with me, but she graduated my junior year. We both talked about it at the end of the school year last year and felt the same that he was trying to groom us, but coming back to school things are different, and you can’t unintentionally groom someone right? I want to have him as support and not be scared that he’s trying to get me.
Should I let go of what happened before and stop worrying about it? He keeps saying he wants to be a mentor, like that even tho I’m graduating doesn’t mean that he’s gone, and that he’ll always be there, which is nice but could also been seen and him being weird. Everything seems like it’s gotten better though so I’m just confused. Help me out, I don’t understand grown men. What do I do

2024.11.27 18:36 stuntman_mike__ Im lost and conflicted, what should I do?
So im in a pretty shitty mental situation. I started a job in sales 6 months ago and at first it was hard then I got a little motivated and was able to do the work. But two weeks ago idk what happened but I just got tired of it and dont see myself doing it anymore. I'm not sure if its because I dont sleep enought, dont eat well enought or dont exercise enought. Mind you I do all those things alright. Or maybe its juste november. How this job works I would have to work around 4 years very hard like 60h minimum sitting behind a computer cold calling or making listes of people to call. All that for around 24k q year right now for at least the next 2 years. But! Whats been torturing me is that after that you can make 150-400k passively just servicing your clients working a few months a year. But I have to spend my week ends making those damn lists of people to call. Or I could, and am planning on starting trade school november next year as a plumber or an electrician. less stress and I can fuck around a bit more. And I wont be driving to the same hamster cage everyday like I am now. Idk if its because im weak, stupid or just a lazy fuck that think trade will be easier but will pannic when I realise it hard. For the sales job, the pay will be total shit for at least the next 2-3 years before it takes off.

Wanted to get y’all‘s opinion. We’ve got two air-conditioning systems. One 4 ton and one 3 1/2 ton serving 3650 square-foot house. Both units were installed in 2007 and the smaller unit I’ve had to add Freon two times in the past 12 months. I know that next year the refrigerant is changing. At this time, I know I need to at least replace the Smaller unit. Should I go ahead and replace both now ($14k for 2 carrier 4 ton units), or just the one and see how long the other lasts knowing that it will be a different refrigerant and likely more expensive. If we only go with one, the cost will still be $7k. TIA

I've never played golf or even held a golf club before so this is completely new to me. For the past couple of weeks I've been practicing my swings and so far I love it. During this time I noticed the importance of things like flexibility, good mechanics, gear and practice drills.
I imagine that many of you have played for a long time and have picked up invaluable information during this time. What is something you wish you knew when you started playing golf? What should I stay away from?
