Hello fellow sys admins,
I'm a one man IT department for a company of 160 staff and growing.
I'm looking to hire another person, but not getting the buy-in from leadership as they are stuck on "we aren't big enough to need two IT people".
For those of you at similarly sized companies, how big is your IT team and what does the structure or role hierarchy look like?
If you've had to fight to grow your team, what finally clicked for leadership to let you hire?

With decreasing pool of real singaporeans, many regular and nsf are doing multiple jobs. I spoke with a regular who suggested these points:
The only way to solve this is to tap into the massive labor pool of women. In order to sell this policy, the government must lower the duration of service to 1.25 - 1.5 years and reduce reservist cycles, which is justifiable by the massive increase in numbers. While women will be upset, this at least placates the men, mitigating the issue of being politically unpopular.
Those who are with child will be exempted.
next comes the question of what roles they will be suited for. as we all know there are many non physically intensive jobs, sk duties within the military and hometeam that even effeminate pes e can accomplish like manning ippt station or packing goodie bag for ndp. many combat fit nsfs waste their time on these tasks.
There are also many roles in SAF that are currently outsourced to civilian contractors, which could be adequately done by nsf slave labor. This will reduce operational costs and allow the budget to be reallocated to managing the new conscripts.
To make the prospect of NS less ugly, women will be automatically prioritized for those less regimental roles.
That is not to say they should be excluded from combat vocations. the physically fit will be allowed to volunteer for such a role. possible incentive for this includes early release upon completion of high key training events.

A psychic told me I have black magic done and a voodoo doll was created on my name and hence I’ve had so much negativity all my life.
They said they can do some puja (ritual) to get this off and protect me and charged me about $1500. It’s supposed to be a week long process and I ended up signing up for it impulsively, reacting to the helplessness I’d been feeling for a while due to the circumstances life puts me through all the time.
Any potential way or questions to ask the psychic to see if it’s really the deal and if this puja would be doing something?

Three weeks ago I started having flu symptoms and am now on the mend (albeit still with bad fatigue and the odd coughing fit) however mentally I’ve been feeling the worst I have in a while. My general zest for life is gone and I wake up very tired and thinking nothing but negative thoughts, small things agitate me and my work performance is really suffering.
Is there any correlation between general malaise and flu symptoms? I feel like the weathers not helping either.

So, I'm reading and re-reading the rules how Hunter5 handles combat and doesn't the system make the monsters a bit.. weak? So let me get this straight:
- Conflicts are resolved by both sides rolling the same (or contextually relevant) dice pool, with the difference in successes being applied as damage to the loser
- a player can probably be expected to have ~5 dice for whatever combat method they plan of using, just by virtue of character creation.
- Combat is recommended to last no more than ~3 rounds
- A werewolf is recommended to have ~10 dice for physical rolls, and vampires ~5
- that means against a Werewolf, players should only be suffering about what, 3 damage per round on average?
