Could it be the recent Russian Oreshnik ICBM incident motivated the US to move nuclear warheads to UK and that maybe the recent increase in UAP monitoring activity? I'd like to know your insights
"On Thursday, the Ukrainian city of Dnipro was hit by a Russian air strike which eyewitnesses described as unusual, triggering explosions that went on for three hours."

2024.11.27 21:49 Background-Try4869 High Scorers vs Low Scorers
I find it so interesting….
That on Reddit I have not come across a high NBME scorer (consistent 70’s-80’s range) who says that the real deal is similar to Free 120 and that the NBME topics are repeated and that the test is not as bad as people make it out to be. I seriously think that it is this group of people that specifically come out here and write about the exam being super difficult “even for them”.
The people who remained in the 60’s, had not such great scores, or had some inconsistencies, have been the only people that say the test is honestly very doable and very similar to free 120 and that if you drill your NBME incorrects you should have a pretty good chance of passing.
I’m wondering…are these high-scorers biased when putting out the message that the real deal is extremely difficult?? They CLEARLY put in the work to be achieving those scores on their NBME’s and doing two full passes of UWorld and all else that they claim to have done. I believe it. But maybe because they put in this much amount of work they come here and make you think the test is abnormally difficult because they want you to work just as hard as them (i.e suffer just as equally as they did lol) otherwise they’d think it unfair for people to pass without working as hard as they did???
Just interesting …

Gente!

2024.11.27 21:49 MammothBattle33 Helium (HNT) Surges Back to $1 Billion Market Cap
🚨 Crypto News: Helium ($HNT) has skyrocketed by roughly 150% this year, reclaiming a $1 billion market cap! The Chaikin Money Flow (CMF) has turned positive at 0.15, signaling a surge in buying pressure and reinforcing bullish momentum. With recent price climbs of 5%, HNT is heating up.
Adding to the excitement, the RSI now sits at 58, showing strong upward energy while staying below overbought levels. If the golden cross forms as EMA lines suggest, HNT could target resistance levels at $6.5 and $7.2. However, traders should keep an eye on potential support at $6 or even $5.28, in case of a reversal.
Could Helium break out even further and dominate DePIN rankings? Only time will tell, but the momentum is worth watching closely.

2024.11.27 21:49 Apprehensive_Fail673 Kam se zavazadlem na kolečkách při nákupech v Praze?
Ahoj,

2024.11.27 21:49 rowanpark Feeling lost
Hi. I've decided to post here because life is getting the better of me lately and I have no idea how to combat it. I've feel like I'm doing everything I can right now, but it all feels too overwhelming.
I'm 20, nearly 21 years old. I got out of sixth form two years ago, and I took a gap year because I was at the lowest point in my life. A year later, I picked up a software development apprenticeship. In January, I'll be finishing this, and I'll have to decide what to do afterwards. I think I want to go to university. I want to make friends. I want to live independently for a while.
For a while, I thought I wanted to study art. I'm no good at art, really. I picked it up fairly recently, not having done it at GCSE or A Level (UK Secondary School qualifications) and already there are expectations on me because I need to produce a portfolio with 15-20 pieces by June (I've got about 3 or 4 currently). Today, however, I realised that even though I'm only so early into my art journey I'm already having expectations placed upon me and it's stressing me out. Now, I'm starting to question if I even like the subject at all. It wouldn't be the first time my brain has pretended to like something just to satisy others' demands. Game design looks pretty fun, and incorporates some of the elements I like from both art and my current job, but that requires a seperate portfolio, and there's almost no way I could do one before the June cutoff, meaning I wouldn't be able to go to uni until September 2026. I'm tired of waiting. I want to go now. I hate seeing my school friends finish up their courses while I'm still stuck at home. I don't want to waste another year, especially in this failing UK economy. I want to stop comparing myself to others but how can I do this when society breeds this type of mindset?
To be honest, I don't trust that I'll be able to deal with whatever comes my way, work wise. My ADHD and autism heavily affects my ability to be consistent with a learning plan, and I get exhausted easily (could be blood related, getting that checked). I feel like sixth form has mentally destroyed me, and demolished my thirst for learning. What am I supposed to do? I'm at a loss right now. Any engagement is helpful, because I really want to speak to someone about this. Thank you.

2024.11.27 21:49 CharlieTheTraveler Poland in 24 Days
Poland truly is one of Europe’s most rewarding-to-visit destinations. Featuring architecturally stunning and nightlife-filled urban centers and home of a charming countryside dotted with wooden residences and churches, graced with mountains, hills, woodlands, lakes and rivers, and otherwise offering outdoor activities such as kayaking and canoeing, Poland’s attractions are undoubtedly quite diverse.
Continuing to lure the sightseeing type are Krakow, Gdansk, Wroclaw, Torun, Poznan, and Lublin, all of which have either been restored well enough or are in the process of being so.
Devoutly Catholic yet also containing a rich Jewish heritage, Poland also draws in crowds
intrigued by the country’s religious background. This Central European state also appeals to history buffs who wish to explore the many World War II-related monuments and museums. Not least are the Baltic Sea resorts, which are especially popular with families and the youth. Visit a country that is just as culturally rich and fascinating as anywhere in Western Europe but nowhere near as expensive.
Days 1-2: Start your trip to Poland in the resort of Zakopane, which is quite popular for its scenic environs as well as for skiing. 2 days suffice, including the morning arrival from Vysoke Tatry, Slovakia. On the second day make sure to include a visit to the nearby Morskie Oko Lake.
Zakopane is visited by over 2,500,000 tourists a year. In the winter, tourists are drawn to this resort for its excellent conditions for alpine skiing, cross-country skiing, snowboarding, and ski jumping. In the summer, tourists come to enjoy hiking, climbing, and spelunking. Many come to experience góral culture, which is rich in its unique styles of food, speech, architecture, music, and costume. Zakopane is especially popular during the winter holidays, which are celebrated in traditional style, with dances, decorated horse-pulled sleighs called kuligs and roast lamb. A popular tourist activity is taking a stroll through the town's most popular street Krupówki. It is lined with stores, restaurants, carnival rides, and performers.
Days 3-6: Take a 2.5-hour bus ride to Krakow. 4 days suffice, including the morning arrival from Zakopane. On day 6, around 2:30 p.m. or so, take a 50-minute bus or train ride to Wieliczka specifically to see the famous salt mine. A few hours suffice.
Boasting a large and ornate open space that is Main Market Square and the grand royal residence area that is Wawel, and otherwise packed with more gothic and renaissance buildings, monumental treasures and artwork collections than anywhere else in the nation, the ancient
capital that is Krakow is of great past and present significance. Traditionally one of the nation’s leading centers of academic, artistic and cultural life, fairly prosperous Krakow continues to be one of Central Europe’s most talked-about destinations.
Unlike most other Polish cities, Krakow escaped most World War II-related damage and there were low levels of postwar construction in its old town. Krakow is Poland’s undisputed showcase city, a colorful place that exudes great ambiance and features several restaurants, cafes, bars, and clubs. Some of the most authentic of these establishments can be found in the city’s narrow alleyways and many cellars. Enjoy Krakow for all that it is worth, for the city is the jewel in Poland's crown.
If Into WWII History: Make a daytrip via a 1.5-hour bus ride to Auschwitz. Half a day suffices.
Auschwitz was a network of German Nazi concentration camps and extermination camps built and operated by the Third Reich in Polish areas annexed by Nazi Germany during World War II. It consisted of Auschwitz I (the original camp), Auschwitz II–Birkenau (a combination concentration/extermination camp), Auschwitz III–Monowitz (a labor camp to staff an IG Farben factory), and 45 satellite camps.
Days 7-9: Take a 4-hour train ride to Wroclaw. 3 days suffice, including the late afternoon arrival from Krakow.
Architecturally influenced by Bohemians (Czechs), Austrians, and Prussians (Germans) alike, Wroclaw is home of one of the larger and most attractive main squares in Central Europe. Also characterized by its river, islands, bridges, and parks, surprisingly this business-oriented and student-filled city is still an underrated tourist destination. Destroyed in WWII as well as severely flooded in 1997, the capital of the province of Silesia has proven it will not stay down. Considering it has been rebuilt and painstakingly restored many times now, Wroclaw is a place to both enjoy and appreciate.
Day 10: Make a daytrip via a 1.5-hour train ride to Walbrzych specifically to see the Ksiaz Castle. It was built in 1288-1292 under Bolko I the Strict. It lies within a protected area called Książ Landscape Park, overlooks the Pełcznica River and is the city's main tourist attraction.
Days 11-12: Take a 3-hour train ride to Poznan. 2 days suffice, as long as you arrive early- morning from Wroclaw.
Poznan’s Old Market Square, and its immediate environs, are as architecturally eye-catching as Central Europe affords. Although the once-lavish historical buildings and squares further away from the city center are for sure weatherworn, Poznan’s business dynamism is helping fund restoration and beautification projects citywide. Nonetheless, even in its current state, Poznan ranks among the country’s most attractive cities. What’s more, the cultural arts scene and the restaurants, cafes, and nightlife all contribute to an inviting atmosphere. Featuring a rich collection of fairly concentrated monuments, and otherwise home of lots of Polish students who like to party, Poznan is undoubtedly a destination not to miss.
Days 13-14: Take a 2.5-hour train ride to Torun. 2 days suffice, including the afternoon arrival from Poznan.
Boasting monumental churches, numerous military structures and residences that are all composed of brick, after Krakow it is Torun that features the most medieval architecture in all of Poland. Like Krakow, Torun escaped most World War I and World War II-related damage and there were low levels of postwar construction in its old town, which is now a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Having undergone major renovation and beautification over the years, the old town is most charming at night when several monuments are illuminated. This is when culture and ambiance present themselves best in Torun, complimented by sociable restaurants and bars as well as by music venues, especially frequented by the town’s sizeable student population.
Birthplace of astronomer Nicolaus Copernicus, home of some of the tastiest gingerbread on earth, and otherwise ranked by domestic and international surveyors alike as a relatively inviting place for both doing business and for living, the town of Torun is a popular destination for good reason.
Days 15-17: Take a 3-hour train ride to Gdansk. 3 days suffice, including the afternoon arrival from Torun. On day 18, around 2:00pm or so, take a 40-minute train ride to Malbork specifically to see the castle. A few hours to visit it suffices.
Characterized by tall, elegant, and distinctive merchant homes that line relatively long pedestrian streets, and graced with historical treasures such as the town hall building, churches, and gates as well as narrow backstreets, Gdansk is undoubtedly one of the country’s most colorful and vibrant cities. Activities such as cruising along the medieval port and mingling at a dockside beer garden are great pastimes in what is the most popular tourist destination in northern Poland.
Gdansk was once a key member of the Hanseatic League due to its still-important seaport in the Baltic Sea. The city was heavily damaged during World War II. Although rebuilt from rumbles, Poland’s communist era suppressed Gdansk in many ways. This eventually led to the city’s Solidarity movement, which helped bring democracy to the country as a whole. Today northern Poland’s economic center has been painstakingly restored and is filled with businesses, shops, cafes, and restaurants. Gdansk once again is the architectural jewel it was always meant to be.
Days 18-21: Take a 3-hour train ride to Warsaw. 4 days should suffice, including the early morning arrival from Gdansk. Tourists typically do not stay for long, as many think the main square and the nightlife scene are the only draws to this up-and-coming modern city. They are wrong! Warsaw has as much to see as does Krakow.
Apart from the Warsaw Old Town quarter, reconstructed after World War II, each borough has something to offer. Among the most notable landmarks of the Old Town are the Royal Castle, King Sigismund's Column, Market Square, and the Barbican. Further south is the so-called Royal Route, with many classicist palaces, the Presidential Palace and the University of Warsaw campus. Not least is the Wilanów Palace, the former royal residence of King John III Sobieski. It is notable for its baroque architecture and parks.
Days 22-24: Take a 2.5-hour train ride to Lublin. 3 days suffice, including the morning arrival from Warsaw. On day 23, around 2:00pm or so, as a daytrip take a 1-hour bus ride to Kazimierz Dolny. 2.5 hours suffice in this village.
Featuring an imposing castle, eye-catching gates, colorful and vibrant squares, decorative churches, historic mansions, narrow and stone-paved alleyways, several theaters and museums, and a rich Jewish heritage, eastern Poland’s largest city can be justifiably described as an
“undiscovered little Krakow.” Yes, restoration and beautification efforts must continue. However, even taken as is, Lublin ranks among the country’s most attractive destinations. Further, the city is home of a sizeable student population that fills the restaurants, cafes, bars, and clubs. Even though not yet on the beaten path, this Jewel of the East merits a visit.
