Design wise they're amazing, I love the stained glass around oasis's back and the way the haven one looks kinda like a church but the sounds are kinda lame
They don't sound very unique compared to the other ones, Haven's flame sounds are barely audible in the song and the stomps for both of them sound pretty much identical to the other ones, and the voice kinda sounds like they reused the gold island voices even tho the other ones have slight adjustments (could be wrong tho), in my opinion they kinda disrupt the songs and dont flow very well with them
The glass sounds for oasis is a nice touch, though
I really wish the oasis one would've had a steel pan for the stomp sound to make the song sound more tropical, maybe it could've had crab legs made out of glass and it could've had like 4 of them so it could play the steel pan quickly, and it would give it a more unique design for the legs like how the water island one has four eyes

2024.11.27 22:51 Firm_Pilot4751 2016 Jeep Wrangler p0128 check engine code
I just got this check engine light this afternoon and was able to identify the code in the Jeep by turning off and on the car 3 times (P0128) which I guess is most likely the thermostat. I was wondering if it’s okay to drive with this code for about an hour in New England weather as it’s thanksgiving tomorrow and it’s too late to rent a car, and I’m going about an hour from my house. I’ve googled and there are various opinions. Thanks!

What is the most minimalistic and smallest thing that you would still consider blogging?
has a 1-page website and adds information there. Can that be considered blogging? The site is just about a month old and google search traffic is now just about 1-2 per day and 10 impressions. It might not grow much though, as it is so limited at just one page.
Anybody here having experience with 1-page blogs?

2024.11.27 22:51 matzi44 Leaving Tunisia for political reasons
I never seriously considered leaving Tunisia. I mean, I definitely thought about it, but I never really tried hard or felt a strong urge to go live somewhere else. I found myself comfortable here. I'm doing okay—my income is quite decent, I have my own place, I have friends, and I do most of the activities I want. Life was good. Leaving for financial or economic reasons was never a priority for me.
However, recently, with all the political chaos we're experiencing, I’ve started to feel an urge to leave my home, family, and friends, mostly for political reasons. I don’t want to live in a police state , a state currently governed by lunatics who believe that oppression and authoritarianism are the way forward. With the increasing loss of freedoms (which weren’t that great to begin with), things are worse than ever.
Does anyone else here feel the same urge to leave for political reasons?

I think i'm going to go for a X870 and for ram apparently 6000mhz is good for zen 5 but I don't know about the about sub timings.

Zach loves photography; he has a collection of old cameras, including some antiques and a couple of Brownies. When he was 12, Suzie got him an enlarger and we set up a darkroom in the basement. He learned it all, developing, printing; he learned all the tricks for enhancing the images he created. I have one of his masterpieces on a shelf here in my study that, bias aside, is Pulitzer quality. He took an image of PJ at the museum, looking up at a dinosaur exhibit, only the image is of him alone, holding a book about dinosaurs. His face... I can’t even explain. It’s incredible.
Zach sees the beauty in ordinary moments just as he hears them. He once created images as exquisitely as he interprets music. And he loved it.
He's always wanted a Yashica Electro-35 split-image range-finder, he called it a unique camera that was said to produce amazing images, even though it had never been considered high-end. “It’s a classic,” he said. He’s said so for years.
I found one.
Dot and I went and got it today – we were four hours in the car, but we enjoyed the ride. The camera, though nearly 60 years old, is beautiful – it looks brand new; box user-guides and all. The seller, a man in his late 80’s, said he never really used it.
I couldn’t verify that all the features worked, because of course there was no battery. “It’s a mercury battery,” the man said. “I don’t think you can get them anymore.” I bought it anyway.
Zach hasn’t engaged photography since the worst night, but I know it’s never far from mind. Every now and then, he’ll look at something random and say, “That’s a picture.”
In my thoughts of him lately, I reckoned any avenue for creativity could only serve him. Though I can’t know for certain, I truly believe that the piano is the reason he’s come so far so fast. I believe it opened his mind and channeled his thoughts in a way nothing else would. Maybe expressing himself through images could enhance that part of his process.
I just booked an order for developing solution, stop solution, a new red light, rolls of black and white 35mm film (Zach only ever shot in b/w) and, by miracle of the internet, I found a battery adapter for this specific camera. I even got some rolls of 120 film for his ancient Rollieflex that he loves. It’s the camera that Vivian Maier used. He’s often accused her of being the greatest photographer ever, and his work emulates hers in some ways.

It isn’t always possible to be sure about these things. What you feel might be perfect for somebody may not be; maybe they’ve outgrown whatever it is, maybe they just don’t care anymore.
I’ve never been more sure in my life.
I’ll wait for the battery and all the accessories to arrive before I present it to him. I can’t wait to have him close his eyes as I drape this camera around his neck. He’s going to be over the moon.

The move up from Cleveland to Seattle is working out. I've learned some CL skills, started using all AP, and pulled in my best commander off a BB. Using some enhanced heals helps too, even if I have to kick in a few bucks now and then.
I read that Seattle was a chore, but I'm getting twice the damage and victories I was getting with Cleveland, although that's a nice boat too.

Hello, I'm just looking for some advice regarding the tricky position my friend is in.
One of my close friends, A, wants to train as a solicitor, but has recently found out one of her friends, B, has been lying about their disability whilst claiming Personal Independance Payment (PIP).
A has been on the fence about reporting this as they are worried that B will try and lie and damage A's future career as a solicitor. This seems quite likely to me as A found out about the fraud during a heated argument that has seemingly ended the friendship.
Is B really in a position do threaten A's future career? From what I know B has been lying to the DWP for at least 5 years. A has also told B years ago that she needs to exaggerate some of her daily issues, as at the time she was fully believing that B genuinely needed PIP and B was struggling with fleshing out her day to day issues. A said this whilst helping B fill out the forms.
Also A and B owned a dog together, but since their argument B has stopped all contact with A and their dog, is there anything A can do in regards to future expenses on the dog? I'm sure A knows enough about the dog situation anyway, but any little helps.
