Big Rant Incoming!
Global Productions (Mumbai) has been an absolute nightmare to work with! I collaborated with them earlier this year for the Tinder Swiperide series, and I’m shocked by their unprofessionalism. When I was on set, a crew member was constantly taking pictures of girls and the celebrities from weird angles and the heads did nothing about it. That is when I quit and haven't received my pay ever since. By law, payments should be processed within 30 to 45 days, but it’s been almost three months, and I’m still waiting for my dues. Despite multiple follow-ups, they’ve now resorted to ghosting me.
To make matters worse, I’ve learned that I’m not the only one—they’ve done the same to others.
This was my first and last freelance AD project, and it’s disheartening to witness how those working behind the scenes are treated so poorly in our industry. We deserve better.

2024.11.27 22:53 V-symphonia1997 What are you thoughts on the echo chamber discourse sorunding Bluesky lately?

With Bluesky userbase growing currently, I always see the immediate criticism from conservatives about users flocking there is go enjoy your echo chamber, but then get made when people don't want to listen to there terrible opinions & not engage with their ragebait.
Not everything has to be a debate & I find a lot of the people throwing the echo chamber around don't want to look in the mirror & just want to bring everyone down to there level of misery.
These conservatives have warped view of free speech & think it entitles them to have an audience when all the 1st amendment in America means is the government won't put you prison.
So what are your thoughts?
My view is I don't think you should be out in prison for speech unless you're making a theart or encouraging violence for example.

So, as of receently, I have been philosophically struggling with the Faith, and I have a question about the privation theory of evil and inherently immoral actions. Wouldn't they seem to contradict the theory? I know that, for example, murder is wrong because it deprives another of his life, therefore causing a privation. But murder itself doens't seem to be the result of a privation of good in any action i.e. i can't see any action from which you can derive murder (or any other inherently evil action) by removing a perfection of that action. I know that taking a life is sometimes justified, but this doesn't seem to hold for all possible actions that are inherently immoral. Thanks in advance for the answers, and sorry for any mistakes: English is not my first language.

I have never had this happen, but apparently this is a lot more common than I thought after reading through this sub. I got offered a phone interview for my dream job. Exact role i was looking for, good benefits, good location. I was super excited because this would be my first job in my career field as I graduate with my bachelor’s in December. After scheduling the interview i’ve spent so much time studying the company, their values, and doing practice mock interviews. We were scheduled to talk at 3pm today, and I was so nervous and wanted to be prepared I left my gym earlier than usual after class, and held off on starting my end of thanksgiving cooking until after the interview. I even sat in my car until 4pm because some of my family came early for thanksgiving and I wanted to make sure I had a quiet spot for the phone call. I called their office at around 3:45pm thinking maybe I was suppose to call them, and the woman at the front desk said she would forward my message to HR and I would get a call back (I didn’t). I am trying to be optimistic and hoping maybe they meant next Wednesday due to the thanksgiving holiday, but I feel like that’s just me hanging on to a small piece of hope. I sent them a message saying I was still interested and can reschedule if that works better, but i don’t know…
