2024.11.28 00:33 mighty_success LONG story short, I had Gifted Child syndrome, high expectations with no efforts, struggled soo much to study, always fail. now what? I totally lost any desire to keep going
I used to have the hope and desire to change, but now unfortunately there is none.

2024.11.28 00:33 ashlexaconcake I graduated at 40 w 4 d!
I went to my Dr. appt fully expecting him to just make another appointment for me. I was dialated at 2 cm at my last appointment but had not progressed since. I had pretty high blood pressure, so I was sent to L&D to be induced. I was so nervous because I wanted to go into labor on my own.
I got to the hospital at 1:30 pm yesterday and had my baby by 7:26 this morning. I was given only one dose of cervix softener and it really did the trick to jump start labor. I was able to make it to 7 cm dialated before getting an epidural and was able to sleep a little before it was time to push. I pushed for an hour and a half. My husband and I kept the gender a surprise and found out we had a girl ♥️
I make this post to let others know that you can have a positive labor and delivery experience! It definitely hurts, but I felt very empowered and cared for while in the most difficult moments.
Sending love to all expecting parents out there! This group has been so helpful to me during my pregnancy, I am so grateful!

I’m so awkward when it comes to people I do embarrassing things then wonder why I would do or say something like that. I got someone I know a job at my work and I dropped and picked them up but when I went to pick them up I forgot my phone so I had to go inside and instead of me saying will you tell (insert name here) that I’m outside waiting I instead said will you tell that new guy that started today that I’m outside waiting. Then they proceeded to ask who I was talking about by saying “you mean(insert name) and I said yes. Like why would I say that instead of just saying their name then I sit and my car and feel like an ass because why am I like this. Things just come out of my mouth and I feel so weird afterwards.

2024.11.28 00:33 woop02 What else should I look at?
I’m looking to replace a 2013 Audi A4 with a small SUV. - Not opposed to hybrid or EV (fun and like how they drive but not price) but, I WFH and average ~5k miles/year so don’t feel either are necessary. Also live in CA where electricity isn’t cheap (neither is gas though). - Ideally <3 years old with low mileage. 2022/23s with 40k+ miles is hard to stomach for me. I get this might be a me problem. - Don’t need 3rd row.
Current contenders: RDX (used/CPO) or new Kia Sportage. Both are rather different from one another. Like how RDX drives but tech is dated. Opposite for Sportage.
I’m likely to keep the car 5-8 years or longer. I had my last 2 cars around 8-10 years each (2001 Accord, then 2013 A4).
I know this sub likes to recommend CRV/RAV4/Mazda. Not really interested in any of those—sorry. Have also looked at: Tiguan, Tucson, Ioniq 5, Honda Prologue, RX/NX (more than I’d like to spend, $40k+ with 40k+ miles).
What else should I look at? I feel like Japanese cars is the way to go for reliability (ok if I’m late on an oil change occasionally), and minimize high maintenance with euro cars. But maybe I’m asking for too much? Please help me re-adjust my expectations, if that’s what’s needed!
