Hi All,
As the post mentions, very excited to setup my first NAS... have been running a plex server off my old macbook pro but officially stepping up my game. What drives do you all recommend for NAS setup? In doing my own research (this is very new to me) I am leaning towards a RAID 5 setup unless others feel that isnt a good idea. I have about 30 TB's of content right now on random external HD's. This NAS will only be used for Plex and Time Machine Backups. Thanks in advance!

I as looking for some advice on what a good price to haggle with. I purchased a tv that was supposed to be in pristine condition 2nd hand Samsung frame TV. Only thing missing was the bracket, which I bought separately. The advert made clear it was pristine and this was the only thing missing. I received it and there is some damage on the screen, and the magic remote is missing. The remote costs £60 to buy. I was okay buying 2nd hand with it being little cheaper, but they was if it was in pristine condition. They offered a return and full refund or £40 refund! I could cope with a small amount of damage, but given the original price, the quality I thought I was getting I would want a bigger amount refunded than £40. I wondered if any ones the Claire for this kind of quality / damage and a radon % discount, given the above situation. Any advice or thoughts appreciated.

2024.11.27 22:37 Ok-Ingenuity-9296 My Friend has a car but I don’t, yet she expects me to drive her car
I just got my license and my friend who is almost a year older than me has her own car so she has been the driver at our hang outs for a while. When I told her I passed my driving test, the first thing she said was that she’s excited that I’ll be the one driving us around (mind you we usually hang out in a trio with one other girl who doesn’t have her license either). I said that I’m not going to have my own (my parents can’t afford it rn) for a while and she said that she’ll let me drive her car, but that makes me nervous. I feel like that’s weird to drive someone else’s car when it’s not an emergency. Especially as a new driver and I can’t imagine her parents would be ok with this. I mean I understand that it’s probably annoying to be the one driving all the time but unless I borrow my parents car (which won’t be often because they both need their cars), I can’t really drive them around. I don’t want to be that person who expects a ride all the time (which, I don’t cuz the only time she drives me is when we hang out), but I don’t think that’s normal for me to be driving her car frequently?

After years of flawless etching, xTool D1 Pro 20W + Lightburn gives me these repeating ripples whenever I etch anything now. It’s almost like ghosting from a loose belt, but they are all properly tightened. I even installed a new lens and cleaned everything up.
