2024.11.28 00:30 shadowstar2417 8 Rode Wireless Pros connected to 1 Rodecaster Pro 2?

My studio currently has 8 Rode Wireless Pros and 4 receivers, and I'm curious if I can connect all 8 to a single Rodecaster Pro 2. It can only connect 2 receivers wirelessly, but I'm wondering if I can connect 2 wirelessly and the other 2 via an XLTRS adapter. Is there any reason this wouldn't work? Each receiver only counts as one audio channel and two mics can connect to each receiver so in theory it will work but I just want to double check before purchase.

2024.11.28 00:30 Delophosaur My revisions to the "Adam is alive" theory (He's probably dead)

I find this to be a really interesting (and comforting) theory but it has issues, as I'm sure y'all are aware. I want to address the points as well as make some revisions.
A) "When Amanda tried to suffocate Adam, she did not hold the plastic over his face long enough to kill him."
While this is a decent point, it really does not guarantee Adam's survival. Adam already was suffering from blood loss and (depending on if the bathtub tap was functional) dehydration, which would put him in a more vulnerable position to die from something like this. Also, it's possible Amanda left the plastic on his face after he lost consciousness, which would leave him to drown in his own blood, which would probably kill him. Nonetheless, I still believe it's possible he could've survived this, considering the frankly miraculous things other characters in this franchise have lived through.
B) "His corpse is shown to have the shackle on the wrong foot multiple times, so maybe it was replaced with detective Tapp's."
It's easy to write this off as a production error but I think it has some merit. Leigh Whannel, Adam's actor, also happened to be the writer of the first 3 Saw movies. When remaking the scene in the bathroom, he of all people should know which foot the shackle would be on. If that was a production error, then how likely is it that the production team would make the same mistake again? This theory raises 2 questions: Why would someone feel the need to replace Adam's corpse? Why is it shown on the correct foot in Saw X? I have yet to see someone properly address these.
C) "Kramer could've cleaned up Amanda's mistake and appointed Adam as a photographing apprentice."
I think this point is kinda dumb. Kramer said "game over" so I highly doubt he would spare any mercy for Adam after that point. Also, Kramer let Amanda rig multiple traps before actually testing her, when he could have done so after the first incident. Kramer does not care about collateral damages. It's not like he needs another person to go collect information about potential victims when he has an actual detective as an apprentice.
I think this theory is fairly weak as it currently stands but I'd like to propose a slightly different version.
Dr. Lawrence Gordon said that if he lived, he would come back for Adam, and he did live. After Amanda presumably killed Adam, Lawrence could've swooped in to retrieve Adam. Because he's a doctor, theoretically he could nurture Adam back to health if it wasn't too late.
Lawrence perhaps did not want to get in trouble with another apprentice or Kramer so he covered up the situation by replacing the corpse. It very well could be Tapp's corpse that Lawrence dressed up to be all Adam-like, and then mistakenly shackled the wrong foot.
When Lawrence was shown actually seeing Adam's corpse, he did not visibly express emotion. Lawrence and Adam bonded in that bathroom, so I'd expect some sort of grief or remorse from Lawrence. (That being said, brainwashing and PTSD could for sure be a factor here.)
So, what's the deal with the shackle being on the correct foot in Saw X? Honestly I dunno. Maybe Adam WAS alive there, just unconscious. I'll admit this is a weak point in my theory.
Dr. Gordon had a lot of really interesting potential as a character for the sequels but the writers chose to give him the "make 'em an apprentice" treatment, so unfortunately that may just be what debunks my revision of the theory.
However, Saw is a pretty profitable franchise so I wouldn't put it past them to retcon Dr. Gordon's Saw 3D appearance in order to make another movie. They made Amanda uncharacteristically compassionate in Saw X, in complete contradiction to her actions in Saw III. Kramer became portrayed as almost morally gray, as if the bathroom trap or flammable jelly trap never happened.
Do I think we will ever get official confirmation that Adam is alive? Not unless they run out of other ideas.
Do I think it's plausible that Adam is alive? Yes, but the evidence has enough issues for me to say that he is probably dead.
