The move up from Cleveland to Seattle is working out. I've learned some CL skills, started using all AP, and pulled in my best commander off a BB. Using some enhanced heals helps too, even if I have to kick in a few bucks now and then.
I read that Seattle was a chore, but I'm getting twice the damage and victories I was getting with Cleveland, although that's a nice boat too.

I am seeking representation for my debut novel, All Forgotten, which is complete at 80,000 words. It is a modern retelling of the story of Medea, that will appeal to readers of books featuring morally grey characters, examinations of gender politics, and the impact of poor mental health and grief on an individual. It will appeal to readers of books such as Eliza Clark’s PENANCE, and Megan Nolan’s ORDINARY HUMAN FAILINGS, as well as fans of Greek mythology.
21 year-old Meddie is stagnating, stuck working in her parents’ fish and chip shop in her dying coastal town. Forced out of university by poor mental health, she struggles to see a future beyond the confines of the dull life she’s built for herself.
When Jason comes to town, determined to spend a Summer looking for himself in the waves, he and Meddie meet, and fall into an intense romance that she is determined to hold onto. When Jason leaves, Meddie goes with him, but in doing so commits a crime that severs ties with her family irreparably.
Her new life with Jason is not what she expected, however. He soon becomes controlling and angry, and she finds herself isolated and lonely, questioning whether she was right to put such faith in a whirlwind romance. With no qualifications, no money, and with parents unwilling to provide her with an employment reference, she finds herself being nothing more than ‘Jason’s girlfriend’. Any attempts she makes to improve her lot in life are soon thwarted by an unexpected and unwanted pregnancy.
As her relationship with Jason and sense of self start to crumble, Jason betrays her. He leaves her for another woman, and finding herself a single mother with no friends or family, she is driven to desperation, culminating in a series of events that are devastating and far-reaching.

Hello, I'm just looking for some advice regarding the tricky position my friend is in.
One of my close friends, A, wants to train as a solicitor, but has recently found out one of her friends, B, has been lying about their disability whilst claiming Personal Independance Payment (PIP).
A has been on the fence about reporting this as they are worried that B will try and lie and damage A's future career as a solicitor. This seems quite likely to me as A found out about the fraud during a heated argument that has seemingly ended the friendship.
Is B really in a position do threaten A's future career? From what I know B has been lying to the DWP for at least 5 years. A has also told B years ago that she needs to exaggerate some of her daily issues, as at the time she was fully believing that B genuinely needed PIP and B was struggling with fleshing out her day to day issues. A said this whilst helping B fill out the forms.
Also A and B owned a dog together, but since their argument B has stopped all contact with A and their dog, is there anything A can do in regards to future expenses on the dog? I'm sure A knows enough about the dog situation anyway, but any little helps.

2024.11.27 22:50 bunchy1991 Possibly mid-2000's dark fantasy book involving demons/djinni summoned by sorcerers - seen through the eyes of his warrior friend.
I read a book/ series on my parents bookcase over a decade ago and want to see if I like anything else by the author as it's kind of stuck with me. No one in my family can remember it.
It was set in an Arabian style I think, with sorcery being used in the book for power but not common. The main character was a warrior of sorts who found a sorcerer on his travels and became his general when the sorcerer rose to power ( I think) over the course of the book/series, I think the sorcerer became a sultan and more and more morally split from the warrior till they fought at the end when the sorcerer intended to raise a demon that would ruin the world.
One chapter I clearly remember was quite a graphic sex scene with the warrior and two women - other details are rough but I think quite accurate.

I order approx 100m of 2.8m EziSlat panels from Stratco in Melbourne, and when they were delivered I found they measured only 2.6m.
How do you actually stuff up the measurement of something so simple.. Costs then approx 4k.
