 | Since I got this horse in June he has had this crusty scabby thing that has pus growing underneath his jaw. Everyone at the barn is stumped as to what it could be. It doesn’t hurt him at all. I can pick it off, but then it just comes back. It doesn’t effect his eating either. I had the dentist come out and she said it’s not an abscess. The vet comes out in the spring, and I think I can wait because it doesn’t effect him in any way. I just want to know what it could be. Possibly a tick bite? If so what do I do? I live in California and have been seeing a neurologist at USC for the past few years and was diagnosed with dysautonomia. My provider is now referring me to Stanford since they are the only place to have a dysautonomia clinic and have the testing abilities for this condition. My insurance Anthem has told me this is out of network and I'm getting an estimate of $14k in testing costs. Any advice on how to get insurance to allow a gap exception and have it covered as in network since there's not other facilities in network that treat this?

 | On my umbrella tree, how can I get these shoots to produce a new 5 leaf setup? Also any other way to get it to branch out a bit? It's very top heavy has great growth on top but starting to slim down on the bottom. Ive adjusted her to get full sunlight going forward. On my rubber tree, I failed to water her for a while which seemed to have affected this leaf. Should I leave it be or cut it? Basically our power was out for three days and I had spent that 3 days collecting firewood, chopping it, maintaining the fire, using it to cook for everyone (which if you've never dealt with a fire it can be a lot of fucking work).
I did all that for 3 fucking days straight non stop. By the end of the third day I was completely exhausted so I finally get a chance to go upstairs and take a nap.
What do you think I hear when I finally lay down? My nephew and his girlfriend having sex. Keep in mind this kid didn't do shit, didn't chop any wood, walk to the store, maintain the fire, didn't do shit but lay up with his gf while his 2 little sisters were downstairs shivering and hungry. Why is he the one getting his dick sucked? Why is he the one fucking like he just did something?
I know you're not entitled to sex but jesus christ man.

Now that we've had the preview articles I just wanted to see who everyone is more excited for and the reasons why. Obviously opinions will change once we get more previews and the cards in hand but currently I'm slightly more hype for Nick (even though both look incredibly fun) because I enjoy form changing heroes and his Assault suit reminds me of Gambit's ability but improved as it effects all attacks not just events.

2024.11.27 22:30 Blue_Oyster_Cat Stray cat at the McDonald's/Shell Gas just off I5 in Coburg
I know this is the Eugene subreddit, but I thought that maybe someone knows of an animal rescue around Coburg which might be able to help a little black cat that is hanging around the McDonald's/Shell station just off the highway? We were on our way to California a couple of nights ago and stopped for gas. I saw the cat going back and forth across the lot, figured she was a stray, and bought a can of Friskies-- I was able to give it to her though she was apprehensive and I had to put the food out on the curb and leave before she ate (the entire can). I asked the guys in the station about it, and they said she'd been around for a while and they were giving her bits of food as well. They thought she might have kittens in the area. There was a wooded ditch where she could have hidden a litter of kittens, right where I was able to feed her. The station guys said that people dump cats all the time around there (!) and "just let me catch them at it", said one.
My question: as I am now in Sacramento, and live in Canada, I can't go back and try to rescue her, must as I would like to. Our three cats at home might object and I don't even know if we could get a cat across the border without vaccination certificates.
Is there a Coburg animal rescue or cat rescue that I could contact that anyone here might know about? I've been googling but results have been mixed-- there are shelters, but is there an actual organisation, like VOKRA in Vancouver, that would go and try to catch her and get her to safety? Any answers gratefully received.

I’ve feeling so alone, I have nobody I can open up too about day or my problems. My anxiety isn’t making it easier either, I just want girl friend or friends that I can talk to you on daily basis. They talk to me about their day I talk to them about mine. We watch movies/anime together even play games on steam (just have gaming pc)
We can share our interests together either with movie or games!! I’m open to see new things or watch them for you, maybe even love it.
