TL;DR passed MA, FFA, BT and submitted portfolio of evidence . Training provider say I need to attend a 3hour end-point assessment to complete the course
I began my ACCA studies with my employer around this time last year. They enrolled me with Kaplan as part of an apprenticeship programme, which provided me with study books and access to recorded study classes that I was expected to watch in my own time. However, I found the videos too slow-paced, so I relied on the books for my learning.
As part of the apprenticeship, I was required to maintain a learning journal documenting tasks from my job that related to my studies as evidence of practical learning. Unfortunately, my manager only allowed me to focus on invoice processing, which left me with no relevant tasks to include. To address this, I proactively reached out to other department heads, offering to contribute to their projects from a financial perspective. This was well-received, and I enjoyed adding value by improving processes, managing enterprise-level customer recurring billing, and using spreadsheets to track project milestones, their financial values, and forecast recurring revenue. These projects provided me with enough examples to submit strong evidence in my learning journal for Kaplan.
I successfully passed my MA, FA, and BT exams and submitted my portfolio to Kaplan around July/August. However, during this time, my line manager put me on a Performance Improvement Plan (PIP), claiming that I was neglecting my invoicing responsibilities and refusing to follow instructions by getting involved in these projects for my Kaplan journal. I argued that I was hired as a trainee accountant, not just an invoice processor, and that I took these steps because I had no support or training from her to help me succeed in my studies. Unfortunately, this didn’t go over well, and I was ultimately paid off to leave the business.
I was able to find a new role as an assistant accountant, which I enjoy, but I never completed the “End-Point Assessment” that Kaplan has been mentioning. Apparently, I need to take this assessment either in December this year or June next year. Based on what Kaplan has described, the assessment seems like another exam that re-tests material I’ve already passed in my previous exams. I don’t see the point of this—surely if I’ve passed the exams, why should I be tested on the same content again?
I’ve already submitted a portfolio of evidence, which my previous employer signed off on, confirming that I demonstrated competence (even though they showed little interest in what I was learning). If I’ve completed my portfolio and passed the exams, do I still need to take this End-Point Assessment? Is it a requirement from ACCA, or is it just part of Kaplan’s process to complete their programme?
Finally, if I decide not to take this three-hour assessment, would it invalidate the exam passes I’ve already achieved?

We rescued our silly loving girl at 4 months old and she is the sweetest darling and settling into our family including a senior min pin and senior cat.
I’ve started noticing Lucy exhibiting certain behaviours only with me and not my partner. She never bothers my partner when he eats and is happy to see him come home with a nice greeting. But with me, she’s borderline terrorizing me when I eat, she loses her mind when I come home with hyper greetings including jumping and nipping and she plays rough and nips me even though I play on the more gentle side and never initiates rough play. When I am in the kitchen, she screams and throws her body onto the baby gate desperate to get in.
I wonder if there is something I am doing inadvertently to encourage this behaviour? My partner uses a harder tone with Lucy and will physically correct her. He’s pointed out that I am naturally more soft toned and try to not use physicality to correct her.
I am starting to worry that she will exhibit this behaviour - nipping, jumping, too rough play - with other people in our lives including children in our family.
Anyone else experienced this with their pup?

So I regularly record my online lectures on my phone, and I noticed when I upgraded from my s22 to the S24 FE, the files are exponentially larger than what they were on the s22.
The top recording is from the FE and the bottom is the 22. Both screen recording settings are the same in the settings app and I can't seem to find any other settings anywhere else for it. I see that the fps is higher on the FE, but I can't see that increasing the file size 5x.
Any advice would be appreciated!
