I posted a while back about my mum starting Mounjaro but had some medication she was worried about etc.
She did the right thing and saw her doctor, he’s been very supportive of her desire to start the treatment, has set regular check ups to monitor medications and see if she can reduce what she’s taking after losing weight and that it should help with a future hip replacement too.
She’s had a couple of moments where acid reflux symptoms have been a bit strong and one bout of sickness which worried her a little but she’s got a bit of a sensitive stomach and is sick quite easily. No pain or persistent symptoms etc though.
Anyways, she’s titrated up to 5mg this weekend gone and feels a lot better and has lost the infamous sulphur burps and has passed her first stone weight loss.
Really pleased for her and hoping this will help her gain some mobility back with less pain.

Been laid off the past 12 months and really there hasn't been anything opening for a Procurement or Supplychain Management. In or around 30ish an hour in the TriCities Kitchener Cambridge Brantford Waterloo.
I have 10 years experience that recruiters have pretty well said its too expensive when someone else is willing to do it for 50k (without experience) vs 100k. Just want to get what I'm worth? And not start from the least amount possible.
What most don't realize is these's much more than an administrator role to these positions. And they're very difficult with endless stress that sit with you for many years later free of charge. Sometimes wake up at 2am worrying about a product that never showed up...
Id suggest to anyone looking to get into supplychain to avoid it as AI is here and won't be leaving all those reorders can now be down without you and itll just keep progressing overtime.
Yes we want less 1 or two item purchase orders but end of day it keeps the day filled right?

(M19)I have always been shy. I barely made 2 good friends and 3 or 4 friends my whole life in school. I have no confidence whatsoever. I barely talk to people and the idea of asking a girl out is terrifying to me. I've never even had a first kiss. However i have started uni this year and i was lucky enough to become a member of a friend group of 7 people. We have great fun together and we've come close. There is this girl in the group that i always thought was beautiful but i didn't have the guts to talk to her about it. It's been 3 months now and i started having serious feelings for her. This week she announced to us that she started seeing someone. It crushed me. It's been 2 days since i had a normal meal or slept well. I have never felt like this before. I know that i have now missed my chance because i am a coward and imagining them together is killing me inside. I really don't want to step away from the group cause we have great time together. I don't know what to do.

I just wanted to vent a little about the latest insanity I found on my husband’s devices. He’s making his own, custom 🌽 now from screenshots and editing them to make them what he wants.
Some of these are of people I know and have worked with; our family photographer for example. The woman who took my maternity photos is now being objectified by my husband. I’m at a loss. I say/think that every time but every time it’s something new. I almost wish he would just go ahead and actually cheat and get it over with. I truly wouldn’t be shocked if he already has.

Built my own pc years ago but had a lot of issues with part compatibility. Once it was all working it served me well for over five years but definitely needs updating now. My setup (desk, chair, decor, etc) is whites, beiges, and light green, so I’d like to build an all white computer with some sick RBG (currently looking at Lian Li cases) to match. The only thing is I’m hesitant to plan because compatibility was such a headache last time. Hoping someone here can help by taking some of the guess work out of it :) Budget would be CAD 2,000 - 3,000. I want it powerful and built to last so I’m fine with spending a good amount

I know someone on disability who didn't recieve their cheque due to the strike, when I asked why they didn't set up direct deposit, their reply was "I don't want them having access to my bank account"
Now, I'm almost 100% certain if the Provence of BC wanted their bank statements, they'd get them regardless since KYC laws and such, especially since they're still depositing the real cheque into said account.
So, let's just pretend the government has no idea where their bank accounts are, and that somehow direct deposit gives them full account access (it doesn't) what could they possibly not want the government seeing?
Yes, they're legitimately disabled and are receiving it without fraud.
