Hey everyone! I plan on starting a Hardrock TerraFirmaCraft survival server soon with with a few of my friends. I've tested the mod, and all is well, except for the fact that I don't like the modded generation. It has far fewer biome/variety of landscape, no vanilla structures, and it's overall very bland for my taste. I've tried with vanilla generation, but it removes things like the rock layers (and I assume some of the ores found deeper in the modded generation?), and most importantly, sticks, branches and rocks from the ground, so it's impossible to start out. My question would be, is there some way to make the mod playable with its intended mechanics, while also having a world generation more akin to vanilla?

I need to vent, maybe someone can relate.
- when going out with friend(s) IRL i long to go somewhere, like a bar, where we can engage in deep conversations without care the time. i realized i keep feeling deeply unsatisfied/annoyed by the experience, even if i belief in the moment that the meeting is great, i end up leaving with a sour feeling and even feeling irritated later on. we are still young (late 20/early 30s) and have no kids/responsibilities - so could stay out all night if we wanted. i‘m not looking to party, i just want to have good conversation about everything and nothing, i haven‘t experienced this since my early 20s. people always plan ahead which bus they want to take home and make sure they catch it. how can you have a good conversation knowing you‘re on a timer? i wouldn‘t mind skipping my bus and coming home later than planned and maybe losing out on sleep, even if i had to get up early, if there‘s still things to talk about or just having a good time. sometimes i even hestitate to bring up topics that would be longer discussions/stories, cause i worry about going „overtime“ and being awkwardly cut off cause it‘s „time to go“. i just don‘t get it — and i know it‘s not about me personally, people just don‘t seem to be in the moment anymore and too rigid with their schedules.
- i have a friend i text with everyday about anything. i don‘t care if someone takes longer to respond but she often does this thing where she will reply later and just say „i fell alseep“ or something like that, or just completely change the topic, without even adressing my last messages. there have been times where i vented about personal things, and she can give good opinions/advice, that‘s why i value to hear it from her, but sometimes she pulls this even with these things that are important to me, just ignoring it. sometimes when she is responsive and gives good, engaging replies i never know if she‘s going to drop out any moment and leave me hanging, so i start to get worried about my texts and what i‘m even going to get a reply to.
there have been times where i‘ve sent a long text about a current stressful situation that had to be dealt with in the moment, looking for reassurement - like just her opinion, no advice/action points, nothing complicated. and she dropped out and then came back just sending me some unrelated meme or link to popculture news she has lots of thoughts on.
i find it very hurtful, since we do have that kind of comfortable relationship where we just constantly vent at each other - and i am very understanding/patient, but i just end up feeling neglected.
me personally i never take longer than a day to reply especially if she needs to vent i‘m always available - and i always try to give a detailed response - adressing every point and making her feel heard, instead of something short/general. i feel lucky if i ever get that and not just 1-2 sentences towards a long text i‘ve sent.
it‘s not just like that when it comes to personal stuff, also when it just comes to topics of interests/news, the interests we share and talk about often, are things she actually likes - she never participates in the conversation if i tell her about something involving something she does not like - no matter how interesting i know it is. for example i started getting into an artist she likes just out of curiosity because she became a fan and enjoy being able to talk about this with her - but if i show her something about an artist only i like, but she doesn‘t, she will just choose to ignore it. one time i called her out for not wanting to watch something i sent her, thinking she would maybe realize it means something to me - but she just straight up said how she doesn‘t care cause she‘s not a fan of this person.
there have been many times she sent me something i don‘t care about - but i always still take the time to look at it and give some thoughts on it. i would never tell someone that the thing they shared with me is stupid/not worth my time.
–––– maybe this rant makes me sound needy or codependant - i am really not, i rarely share my time, thoughts or interests with people, hence why it‘s so discouraging for me when i don‘t get shown the same care i try to put in as a listener. i recently started venting to ChatGPT and sadly found it so much more satisfying, it actually adresses everything i‘m seeking opinions/validation on, without getting overlooked, waiting on or completely ignored.

i will admit that i'm a chocolate hater and so i've always stay away from anything with chocolate in it. however, my friend brought a box of crumbl the other day and let me tell you, i demolished the regular classic chocolate chunk cookie. i am obsessed with it.
i know some people hate it real bad; chocolate haters, is this cookie decent to you at all? is this cookie bad for chocolate haters because of the type of chocolate? to me, it tastes like a kinder chocolate bar which is the only chocolate i'll eat so it's a win for me every other week :)

Hey guys I was wondering if I can get some insight? I had a meniscectomy exactly 10 weeks ago. I did not get the meniscus repair. Doctor said he just did the “clean up”. I’m 26 yo male weighing around 170 pounds measuring 5’ 7”. How long until I’m able to get into competitive sports again? Like soccer? And sprinting? I still have trouble doing the heel to hamstring stretch. It feels super tight and still hurts a lot when swinging my foot. How long until that pain goes away? Doctor said around 10-12 weeks I’m able to return to sports but being at 10 weeks it still hurts a lot. I don’t really have the meniscus pain anymore. It still hurts very little from there but hardly. I’m more concerned with the scar tissue pain. Not so sure as to when I can return to doing sports and sprinting. Any insight would help, thank you

A friend can't pay for nebulizer parts for her four kids who all have serious respiratory illnesses, so I started looking into free and low-cost nebulizers. I have some NRBs from work but we don't have the actual nebulizeatomizer bit (not sure of the actual name of the part) that makes it mist when hooked up to oxygen or other pressurized air (she doesn't have oxygen but we were thinking of using a plant sprayer to make it mist, as depicted in this video.)
I'm wondering if anyone knows how to source those atomizers (if that's what they're even called?) or if there are any DIY recommendations out there. I've been looking on 3d print databases but haven't found much.
Side note - I found this interesting article from the University of Nebraska where one of their labs created Project Free Air, a DIY cheap nebulizer using a soda bottle, bike pump, and some 3d printed parts. I live in a college town so lots of 3d printers are available but I was surpised at the recommendation to use a bike pump. Wouldn't you be inhaling potentially a lot of rubber and chemicals, especially if you're pumping at a fast rate? Seems like a plant sprayemister would be a lot better. But either way it's a cool idea.

Our 2 indoor cats somehow got fleas in September and were treated at the vet with BRAVECTO. It's now time to dose them again and we got the BRAVECTO from the vet and are doing it at home. Our one cat is very skittish and we tried applying it the other day without success- he ran from us whenever he saw the tube. We had to get a replacement tube because it was open too long (luckily it was complimentary) and now I'm afraid to open the new one without being sure we can apply it. So, 2 questions - any tips for applying it to a skittish cat, and 2, once the tube is open, how quickly do you have to apply it before it's not considered good anymore?
