 | Well, this will be interesting to have a first time thing, but my first time coming to one of these communities looking for someone to chat with~ as the post is titled, my name is Link. I am 17 years old. I’m 6 foot two 350 pounds but even though I may be a big guy, I’m just a gentle teddy bear. I love the people that are around me and being with those that I care about currently I’m in school and I am currently getting ready to graduate in a couple of weeks. Every time I Google this, Cliftons are offered as the solution. However, the Clifton 9s are the perpetrators for me! I had no issue with the 8s.
I just started running again, and 1 mile into the run my outer lower legs start burning. It’s really uncomfortable. I played around with my form today, and running up on the balls of my feet alleviated it. Do I just have bad form?
I’ve been a runner on and off for 15 years, through collegiate level, etc.
I’ve enjoyed running in the ON Cloudmonster Hypers (borrowed during my ON run club meetings) because of how light they feel on my feet and no issue with my outer tendons, but I do NOT like the price point.
In the past I’ve had luck with good old ASICS GT1000 but it’s been years. I’ve run in Hoka Cliftons the past 7 years casually, but I’m training for a half and then a full this year so I’d like to understand what some other good options are that are maybe similar to the Cloudmonster Hypers or just won’t hurt me 🥲
