Hey everyone, I have a 2019 mustang and I would really like to get into kayaking. The only issue is I have no easy way to transport it to bodies of water. Does anyone have experience with foam roof racks on coupes?
Also: I’ve looked into foldable and inflatable kayaks, and inflatable doesn’t seem like the worst option but I’d hate to pay such a premium for a product that isn’t as durable, quick, and versatile.

2024.11.28 01:30 Dakanmer [Guide] BG3 Iron Throne run: Honor Mode made easy

I've seen several posts on how to do this, but they all felt like they were working on slim margins where failure was very easy. This is my alternative that makes failure really difficult (except for bad NPC AI, but there are solutions), even on Honor Mode.

I also used the picture as a reference when writing my own, so kudos to the u/FireGuilt. Now to start mine, I'll go through the setup first:
Classes: 12 Storm Sorcerer, 12 Transmuter Wizard, 8-Barbarian/4-Thief x2 (Elk Heart/Aspect)
Reasoning: Storm Sorcerer has quick/distance cast, which may prove useful. Transmuter Wizard for the movement stone. Both casters need the first two spells listed below, but only wizard gets the last one. 8-Barb with Elk Heart/Aspect for the movement bonuses; dual to 4 Rogue/Thief for the extra bonus action and third feat. You do not need the Thief for lockpicking or anything, just the bonus action/feat; all doors are opened/closed via a lever.
Sorc/Wiz spells: Mage Hand, Arcane Gate, Longstrider
Feats:

SorcereWizard Barb/Thief
Alert Alert
Mobility
Magic Initiate: SorcereWizard (Mage Hand cantrip, spell unimportant)
Barb/Thief Stats:
1x Barb/Thief needs 16 DEX, dump the rest into CON and whatever else (don't need STR)
1x Barb/Thief doesn't matter, dump into CON and whatever
Barb/Thief Equipment:
|| || |Elven Chain (Initiative)|Ring of Free Action|Crusher's Ring| |Gloves of Dexterity|Boots of Persistence|| |The Graceful Cloth|Corvid Token||
Split gear evenly so that both Barb/Thieves have 18 DEX and Free Action (boots or ring). Whoever doesn't get Crusher's Ring should get the Transmuter Stone: Movement. All other gear is per what you have. Don't bother with stuff like Amulet of Misty Step, though Dimension Door items are fine; you get more distance from dash than Misty Step, and DD is really only useful if you don't have an action but have at least one bonus. I went with weapon/shield for AC bonus just in case, but you only need to fight one enemy in the whole area.
Sorc/Wiz should be built however you see fit. Preference Initiative and Free-cast gear when possible.
Warning: Since some recent patch as of this writing (possibly long before. I rarely exploit it so meh) you can't give your team Transmuter Stones and then remove the Transmuter from the party, or buff with concentration spells like Magic Weapon; the stone will disappear and concentration will be broken. I haven't tested all the things, so this is just a warning about giving everyome movement stones and magic weapon bonuses.
Consummable items to take with you:
Scrolls Elixirs Potions
Globe of Invulnerability Vigilance Flying
Conjur Elemental Hill Giant Strength (optional) Speed
Chain Lightning Cloud Giant Strength
Preparation in the submarine:
  1. Summon Air Elementals for each character (air = fly + warp + electricity vs wet)
  2. Drink elixirs: Cloud Giant for Barb/Thief, Vigilance for casters
  3. Activate Turn-Based Mode
  4. Summon Mage Hands on each character
    1. (Optional) Have Mage Hands use Hill Giant elixirs (drop on ground and have Hand interact)
  5. Very quickly:
    1. End Turn-Based Mode
    2. Up-cast Longstrider to level 6 to tag all elementals + 2 hands
    3. Activate Turn-Based Mode to preserve buff timers
  6. Use potions of Flying on any characters that don't already have it
  7. Activate Aspect of the Elk on one of the Barb/Thieves (costs no action/bonus)
  8. Remind yourself over and over to never, never use normal movement if you can help it, even on hands and elementals. Fly gives you more distance and will be your guarantee of easiness
  9. Pray to the RNG gods that the AI won't be stupid, and open the hatch to start the run
Most of your efforts will be in round 1. Round 2 will basically just be clean-up, and every remaining round a waiting game. Note: Honor Mode enemies have more health, with 49 for Hunters and 92 for Champions. I will split up the steps/round so that you can tell which charactesummon does what more easily.
Round 1:
  1. Use Haste potions on all of your characters, and if you're feeling rushed and rich on your elementals. You won't need to worry about lethargy ruining your run
  2. Send Air Elementals (AE) one at a time Northward into the central roon to engage the first enemy
    1. You may be able to defeat it with 2 AE, but it took me 3 because RNG missed attacks (I didn't give them haste)
  3. Once the enemy is dead send two of the AE West to engage the enemies in that room; fly first, then warp the rest of the way
    1. Send AE that you used to defeat the first enemy rather than using fresh ones
    2. If you time it right you can get the patrolling enemy to engage as it reaches the corridor entrance; you want that
    3. These two are insurance for later in case the enemies don't die in this round
  4. Send 1 AE East to spawn and engage the enemy in Ravengard's corridoroom
    1. This may not be necessary, but I included it because I did this in my run
  5. Send 1 AE South in preparation for the spawns there
  6. End their turns
----
  1. Send 1 Barbarian/Thief (BT1) East to open booth doors. You will need 1 bonus dash to get all the way there (remember to fly); ignore the enemies
    1. For both BTs, if they don't have Aspect of the Elk active and they're outside the range of the other, activate it (don't forget!)
    2. Use a Scroll of Globe of Invulnerability around the center of the room (not Ravengard's cell)
    3. If Ravengard immediately gets his turn, have BT1 , then run him into it to spawn Mizora's meddling spiders. Otherwise abduct him with BT1 (Ravengard as an Improvised Weapon, but remember to cancel the action when before you actually use him! You don't want to slam him and waste your action) and drop him inside the bubble to start the meddling
    4. The Sahuagin Hunter will net Ravengard and move into the now-empty cell because he's ranged.
    5. End your turn so that the spiders will get rid of themselves
----
  1. Send BT2 South to free the gnomes + Omeluum
    1. You need one bonus dash to get all the way to the gnomes (open the cell door first), one action to "Help" the gnome in the chair, and then another bonus dash to get to Omeluum
    2. If you didn't use your haste potion, use it now. Loot the room (1 chest near the door, 1 tadpole, 1 bag near Omeluum with all his belongings from Act 2)
    3. "Help" Omeluum, then use him to teleport back to the boat
    4. Fly (remember to always fly) BT2 back down and either go South or West to assist
    5. End turn
----
  1. Send the Sorcerer Southward and into the corridor to create (freecast with item or tadpole power) an Arcane Gate linking the central room to Ravengard's area
  2. Optional: kill the Sahuagin Champion with a Scroll of Chain Lightning (it will hit other targets like the spiders)
    1. This is probably not necessary when I reflect back on it, but I did it in my run so I included it here
  3. Move Westward in preparation of creating another gate as insurance against bad AI
  4. End turn
----
  1. Send (fly) the Wizard Westward
  2. Use a Scroll of Chain Lightning on the Sahuagin; double tap with another or some other nuke if there are survivors
  3. Position yourself so that you can cast a gate on the far side of the central machinery (you can see "through" it, you just need range and a good spot) and the other end near the central room
  4. If you have the action, available create the gate end near one of their cells (near, not next to)
  5. End turn
----
  1. Send in your Mage Hands (MH) to open the central room's doors, then stand by to close each corridor's doors (only need to close 1 for each direction)
    1. One MH should immediately close the North corridor's door unless you want to loot the rooms (you have plenty of time, and you can actually fly over the closed doors to escape because no ceiling in many places)
    2. In the West corridor are 2 oil barrels you want to take with you, or at least move away from danger so they don't prematurely close the doors (fire will trigger them. Possibly heat sensors?)
    3. End Turn
----
Round 2:
  1. Have West AE move to help the South gnomes once the West enemies are dead; all other AE should also help South
    1. AE cannot use the Arcane Gates or interact with levers, so you have to slog it with fly/warp
  2. All MH should close off corridors as they are evacuated if there are enemies in those areas, and then return to the submarine's antechamber (where you started Round 1, tucked out of the way but on stand-by close enough to the ladder down in case you need to throw a gnome at it (because bad AI)
----
  1. If Ravengard is netted have BT1 abduct (Improvised Weapon) and drag him back to the central room, otherwise let him take the AG to the center along with the other 2 prisoners in the room
    1. If he's netted, either help Ravengard with BT1 or leave him near the ladder and continue to the South to abduct those prisoners to safety
      1. You have to run (not fly) while abducting Ravengard, but once he's safe take to the skies once more
  2. Once East is cleared of all allies have your MH close the doors (just one set per corridor)
  3. Have BT2 help with abductions of the Western prisoners as necessary
----
  1. If you haven't in the previous round, have your Wizard create the gate linking one of the cells to the central room
  2. Open the cell door near that AG and pray to the RNG gods that they don't screw up their escape on their turn, then move to the other cell and end your turn
  3. Send the Sorcerer to help with the Western evacuation by creating another AG link near the other cell; both AG should have clearance in a full circle around them so the prisoners don't think it's inaccessible
Round 3+:
  1. Shephard all of the prisoners into the boat, abducting as necessary
  2. If any look like their AI is broken and they just don't wanna go, abduct them
    1. If they refuse to go up the ladder, have one of your BT throw them up into the antechamber, using the MH as their target since you can't see that level's floor
    2. Throwing them up into the antechamber warps them into the submarine, prone/unconscious. Help them up with one of your casters just in case (I don't want to test if they are considered dead/left behind)
    3. Alternatively, have Omeluum sitting in the central room waiting to teleport stragglers that don't play along
  3. The rest of the time is just waiting and watching to make sure the prisoners escape. You can send one of your BT after their lethargy has passed to go loot the Northwestern rooms, but there's nothing worth going for despite having plenty of time and movement to do it (and since you have protection from Restrained you don't have to worry about getting netted)
    1. North room has Waldemar Prinski's corpse with a +1 mace and a note from Gortash
    2. NW (small closed room) has some alchemy stuff and vendor fodder
    3. NW (large open room) has High Security #6 and some other junk
    4. None of the loot in this entire map is worth wasting your time on except for the tadpole when you rescue Omeluum
  4. To end the run have one of your characters use the submarine's steering wheel at the front
Final Notes:
You have 5 turns, just like Tactician. In my run all prisoners were out of there cells and the West groups had a portal...which half of them ignored, which was why the second portal. One of the gnomes decided he wanted to stare at the North door that I had closed early on, so that almost ruined my run, hence preparing the MH to act as targets for gnome tossing. You might consider using haste on Omeluum by one of your casters if the AI is acting up.
Bad AI aside, this is a very quick method that ensures victory. You can finesse it to be even more efficient, but the MVP was the Barb/Thief combo because of their insane movement potential (you will be amazed at how much you can do on a single turn if you remember to fly unless you're forced to abduct), and the unsung heroes were the Air Elementals for actually doing the fighting so that I didn't have to waste movement/actions on them. I chose to bring Wyll and have him be the BT that rescued Ravengard (and he gets an inspiration for full extraction!), but you can pick whoever since you can respec before and after.
Lastly, as your characters enter the submarine their summons will teleport back as well, so make sure you're done with them before going in...and remember to talk to the prisoners/Omeluum before leaving the boat, because quest updates and stuff.
Hopefully this was clear and makes your Iron Throne run easier. It made me nervous because Honor Mode, but this method (developed/tested in a Balanced playthrough since I had a save around that point) definitely made it easier for me...except that stupid gnome staring at the North door up to the very end, but thank goodness for last minute creative solutions!

Haven’t found much information from googling- I’ve never struggled with more that a pimple or two around my menstrual cycle since I was a teenager. My skin is naturally very oily- so seeking any advice as to if that is contributing to said purge and if I should introduce a new moisturizecleanser. Currently (and have been for three years) just using almost entirely oily prone skin Cerave products with the exception of a vitamin C serum, Eyeswear by Goodjanes eye cream, and now a 0.01 retinoid cream.
Purging (I think) has been several white heads on my nose, cheeks, and forehead. Have always had large pores and blackheads on nose. Any insight welcome! Thank you!

I’m in a relationship with a Muslim woman who doesn’t fully practice Islam (doesn’t pray, wears no hijab, doesn't pray, drinks alcohol, having dogs as pet). She was raised in a strong Islamic environment (Al-Azhar schools) but became disillusioned after her devout father committed infidelity, which made her see Islamic teachings as hypocritical.
