2024.11.28 01:49 KnowWhatlMeanVern How much of resort fees are simply pricing structure? What was it like before/when they first implemented them?
I'm too young to know a Vegas without resort fees, but are they as bad as they look? Or is it mostly just pricing games?
E.g., instead of $100 a night, they do $70 + $40 resort fee.
Did they just add on $10? Ya. But is it the $40 it looks like? Not even close.
Surely that's how it happened? Or at the very least it started out at like $10?
I mean people make it sound like resort fees are entirely added on, when in fact the vast majority of it would be incorporated into the price regardless, right? So what you're mostly complaining about is pricing structure.
Makes you wonder why they do it. Like hey, we put this significant charge on there for you to get upset about instead of incorporating it into the room rate where you wouldn't have thought anything.
