I wash and dry my towels using the Towels wash option on the machine. When I take the towels out from he machine after the drying cycle, they feel damp and have an almost mildew-like odor. I don't put that many towels in there. I've cleaned the lint trap and the vents seem fine. This only happens with the towels, clothes don't have this problem. I don't know if this is normal or what the source of the issue is.

I got these, some cheap off-road H-pipe, and a car back all for my car last summer. It leaks like a bitch and I reek like fumes every time I drive it. I want to make it easier to remove as well as stop all my exhaust leaks. Do I keep these flanges and just clean the mating surface and add a new gasket? Or would it be simple enough to weld V Bands onto these? They’re “titanium ceramic” BBK 351W swap shorties. I say that in quotes because mine started rusting in less than 6 months and I can drive in the rain.

2024.11.28 02:30 Ulfcloak An Issue With Caitlyn and Vi
Long story short, I think having them significantly involved with each other (on a general level, not just romantically) so early in their lives is a disservice to the characters and takes quite a bit away from them both as individuals and what their professional partnership is supposed to represent.
Season 1 wasn't canon at the time so I didn't mind a standalone story doing its own thing, but Riot has pit Arcane directly against the old canon and that's where issues arise. In the older iterations, Caitlyn was already the sheriff when Vi came around. Her personal conflict with Corina Veraza didn't have a lot to do with Vi directly, and her pre-existing earning of and excellence in the office of sheriff independent of Vi carries with it an implicit level of individual competence we just have to assume she has.
Arcane's Caitlyn can be fiercely intelligent when the writers allow her to be, but for the most part she isn't taken very seriously by her peers, accomplishes almost nothing without Vi or Ambessa's help and is seemingly incapable of making good decisions in their absence. She is then thrust into the position of "Commander" by a foreigner on virtue of her surname alone, whereafter she proceeds to sleep with her own subordinates and get dogwalked by Noxians until Vi shows up and she decides to have agency again. To be clear, I'm not upset she has flaws. She is young in the show and still had a lot of room to grow. My problem is that the growth was tied to someone else instead of herself and an internal conflict, and was put on hold when she wasn't around.
Vi was always written with Caitlyn in mind to an extent, so things are less egregious in her case. Some may be displeased that she has more personal motivations tugging her toward topside a bit prematurely but I don't mind it much. It makes sense in the context of the story knowing that Jinx is indeed her sister instead of it just being an obscure shopkeeper easter egg.
Then there is the issue the issue of the partnership. In the old lore, and even in Arcane itself, their partnership is meant to symbolize on some level that Piltover and Zaun are capable of synergizing and coexisting. This remains in tact in the old lore, in which they have both matured in their own social ecosystems yet are able to work well together as friends and colleagues. A romantic relationship at this stage in their lives and careers wouldn't detract much from this symbolism as a result of this. In Arcane, however, they are written as being romantically interested in each other and even involved with each other before they can even get along reasonably well, and it is perfectly reasonable for a viewer of the show to walk away with the understanding that they were able to overcome their differences in background primarily because of their romantic interest rather than the original and still intended theme of their relationship.
Arcane's version is good fun in isolation but Riot forcing it to compete with the old lore makes it a lot harder for me to enjoy. The characters suffer for these changes, and the original theme of the duo is diluted with an arguably premature romance. For me, Caitlyn in particular falls dramatically short of the top-hatted badass she's meant to replace. Perhaps the large hat was only fit for an equally large sheriff.
