My best friend and I have known each other since we were in middle school. We are both 27 now. From middle school to our freshman year of college, we were truly inseparable. Things started to change when she met her now husband in college and dropped out after freshman year. She dropped out and basically just waited around for her boyfriend to propose when he graduated college. College wasn’t the right path for her, which I understand, but as soon as she got married it was like everything in her life was perfect. She has never worked a full time job, but has a nice car, new home, and new life that she was not paying for. I stood by her side at her huge, expensive wedding and made sure she felt celebrated throughout her whole engagement. Meanwhile, I worked my ass off in college and even got a masters degree that I paid for by myself. However, I work in education and have had to move back in with my parents because I couldn’t afford rent and medical bills. I got very sick a few years ago and had to get immunotherapy. She was very distant from me during this time, even though I still tried to reach out. I absolutely despise working full time but I have no other choice. I am single but I don’t want to be. Yet she has a toddler now and another baby on the way. I do see being a stay at home as a true job, but it is difficult when she sends me pictures of her still in her pajamas and watching movies with her toddler at 2pm when I am stressed and trying to make ends meet at work. I hate feeling this way because she has been like a sister to me. How do I get past feeling jealous of her? It feels like everything has come so easy for her since college and she has everything I want. I want to be happy for her not jealous. How can I mature in this area?

I was on birth control for around 3 years throughout my time at high school. I’ve been sexually active since I was around 15, I used protection every now and then throughout that time. Last year, while being 18 I made the decision to stop taking birth control. After stopping what I had been on for years my skin broke out dramatically and I had a lot of acne. I had never gotten acne on my face like that before and was shocked! I decided to go off birth control as I realised how shitty it was making me feel. From also being a teenager I had major mood swings but I feel as if the pill contributed a lot to that also. I was upset all the time, a very emotional person and small things would make me feel sad. I haven’t been on birth control since then and my skin has calmed down a bit more over the past year. To be honest this is pretty stupid of me but I haven’t used protection in ages and with not being on the pill I’m obviously a lot more prone to becoming pregnant. The thing is though I haven’t. I’ve never had a pregnancy scare or anything similar to that. This year my periods have been starting to come more & more irregular, I’m starting to think I’m infertile. I’ve had this gut feeling ever since I was younger that I am and I’ve just accepted it (obviously without an actual infertility test done). I just don’t want to have to be on birth control as it fucked with me SO much. I don’t wanna be on anything to be honest. My friends are on different types of birth control and some of the side effects they experience sound awful.

As a student of sociology, I have to read about social practices like dowry and I also noticed this in my extended family and neighbours that almost all of them have given/taken dowry in one form or another.
Since dowry gives so called ‘respect’ to bahus in her in-laws house if she bring a lot of money and jewellery and other stuffs, parents give dowry on their own in their daughter's wedding since they want to ‘secure’ her future.
My maternal aunt got married more than 3 years ago and it was a Love cum Arranged Marriage. But even then, my maternal grandparents had to arrange dowry for her and when I questioned them, they laughed at me saying I am still immature I'll understand when I'll grow up lol. They don't even call it ‘dahej’, they say ‘ham to gift de rahe hai taki wo apne sasural mein araam se rahe’ (we are only giving gifts, so that our daughter lives comfortably in her house). I didn't know what to say to them.
So, does dowry like practice exist in your country as well? How does that happen? What if you don't accept or give dowry?
P.S. - I come from a Indian Muslim family, although an Atheist, but in Islam, it is men who have to give ‘mehr’ when the marriage contract is signed during nikah and women can demand whatever amount they find suitable according to the situation from 5000-1 lakhs usually. But Indian muslim families have adopted the practice of dowry and death and torture related to dowry also happens in muslim households.

This is such a long shot but I used to have an iPad 1 the one with no camera and I had a bunch of games that aren’t on the App Store anymore like diner town zoo,Simpson arcade, and like a duck game where you’d a duck had to catch eggs idk what the last 2 games were formally called but if you know I’d love to know as well. The game im looking for was called”SWA” I think. I say I think because the title was abbreviated if it was too long so I don’t really know the full title. All I remember was I saw playing as a little 3D character that would have to explore like caves and things and collect I believe big peaches and I think he used to eat them when he found them im don’t have the best memory of this game. I think it followed a story but again not sure. I do remember this one part I was inside an icy blue cave and I couldn’t get to the peach and I gave up. I still have the iPad but im not sure I still have the game because my mom deleted a bunch of stuff off of it will try to charge it and update if anyone is interested.

So, I have been looking for games for a little while now for me and a friend to play. I haven't found much, but was wondering if I had overlooked any titles. I am looking for games like so:
• Playing online together, but can get on whenever you want - like Minecraft • Playing your turn or so, and then letting them go, but without a time attached to it - like Words With Friends • Playing to help out your friend in another world - like Phantom Abyss • Playing in like a crew or clan to help each other out - like Call of Duty had, or some say you can do in PUBG or 2k
I know the term for some titles are called " asynchronous games " but this is that AND broader.
What I am really wanting is something like Minecraft, where we can fish, get money for the group of friends, and just help each other out. If we're on at the same time, maybe go explore something or do a mission.
But I will take anything at this point I'm mainly looking for Xbox or PC, but will deal with mobile.

Pricing a signed jersey? Forgive me, I didn’t see whether I could post something like this. But I have a signed jersey that I won at a Timbers game in 2013. I had it professionally framed right away, I want to say it cost us about $300-400 to frame it. It’s time to part ways with it. My life is sorta upside down. I am out of work, single mom, and I have cancer. Like, I went from gainfully employed to being on food stamps and I’m trying to keep from getting evicted at this point. I don’t know how to price this, but if you have any recommendations on what to ask for it, and how to go about selling it, I’m all ears. I thought this photo would show better that I’m not lying that I have a legit jersey (I also have photos from the game), but I also have framed-photos, too. I am not a huge Uber-Timbers fan, so I know someone else would appreciate it more than I do. Thanks.
