2024.11.28 04:50 Scared-Focus-6942 Don't Suppress

Guys, from someone who has applied to numerous things and have done auditions and received REJECTIONS, I urge y'all to not suppress your emotions. Take the day, or however long you need, to be in your feelings. It's okay to cry, laugh, or sulk for a week. Just remember, when you suppress your emotions, they will come out eventually. Let yourself cry, scream, be disappointed; it's all healthy.

2024.11.28 04:50 NotSoTraumAtiq At a Crossroads: Paragliding vs. Speed Flying

Hi everyone,
I’m looking for some guidance as I navigate my path into speed flying. A bit about me: I’ve skydived in the past and initially aimed to get my A-license, but that didn’t work out. To stay in the air, I thought I’d pick up paragliding with the goal of eventually transitioning into speed flying. My ultimate aim is to build confidence and get comfortable in the air while working my way toward speed flying.
I’ve started taking paragliding course, but recently I discovered a few schools that teach speed flying directly, skipping the need for paragliding training. This has left me questioning my approach—should I stick to paragliding first, or dive straight into speed flying?
Here’s the challenge: my instructor has suggested investing in paragliding gear before diving into speed flying (about $6,000 for a wing and harness), but adding speed flying equipment later would be another $3,000–$4,000. That’s a huge investment, and I’m wondering if it’s worth buying paragliding gear at this point or if I should explore schools that teach speed flying directly.
I live in the Greater New York area and haven’t found many resources or communities focused on speed flying nearby. I’d love to hear from anyone with experience in either paragliding or speed flying—or both! Are there benefits to building a paragliding foundation before speed flying, or is it realistic to jump straight into speed flying training?
Any advice, resources, or recommendations for schools or instructors would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks in advance!

A few weeks back someone was asking where they could get digital products that came with master resell rights so they could resell them as a way to start an online business.
Today I found a company currently offer a special offer for thanksgiving where you can get 1,000 different ebooks, courses, audio and software for only $1 which includes the master rights to resell them.
I purchased it earlier today and it really is only $1 with no strings attached. Pretty cool!

2024.11.28 04:50 Willing-Lime-9078 Disappointing Experience with Privacy Bootcamp CIPP/E

Hello!
I passed CIPP/E a couple of days ago and I wanted to pen my experience. I primarily used Privcy Bootcamp content to prepare, with additional references to the IAPP 3rd edition publication where necessary.
Pros:

  1. Privacy Bootcamp presents the info in an easily understandable format in-line with the BoK.
  2. There are 5 knowledge reviews to test your understanding of the subject along the way.
  3. There are 10 flashcards at the end of each Section and you can generate more.
Cons:
  1. There are spelling errors in a few places. This is annoying given how expensive it is.
  2. The explanations that accompany answers in the Knowledge Reviews and the Full Exams are lacking - they're literally copied from the main content. For instance, if there are two similar answers that both apply, the answer will likely not provide an explanation of why one is a better response than the other.
  3. This is by far the biggest con, and the reason for this post - I found the exam questions significantly harder than those on Privacy Bootcamp. This was both with respect to content as well as subject importance (Full and additional Exams)
For context, my scores on the Knowledge Reviews were all 17/20, with one 16/20.
On the Final Tests, I scored 78/90 and 76/90.
I then generated and took 3 additional full length exams and scored 76/90, 83/90, and 83/90.
At this point I was fairly confident in the PB content and was ready for the real test.
CIPP/E EXAM
My score on the exam was 385/500. My domain scores were 80, 73, and 100. While I passed, this was a disappointing result.
How was the real exam different? 1. I found the questions harder. For instance I had 3 questions on specific wordings used in a directive - the bootcamp content does not account for such a granular understanding. 2. The exam had more questions from the topics outside the prime area of focus of the Privacy Bootcamp's prep questions and even the cheat sheet. This led perhaps to tunnel vision on things the bootcamp material thinks are important but I was noy queried on.
I know the BoK specifies minimum and maxium questions so there is a fair element of luck involved.
TL/DR
My experience is that reliance on Privacy Bootcamp alone may be enough to pass, but not to score well. This is of course, subjective.

2024.11.28 04:50 No_Love_5153 Is the Chef the GOAT?

Hard to pick my favorite spyderco, but this may be the one. After carrying something else for a while, I always come back to the Chef and feel like I was just reacquainted with an old friend. It just does so many things well, the ease of maintenance, Taichung fit and finish, pocket profile, “cool” factor, etc. It really checks all the boxes.
And it absolutely does shine in the kitchen.

2024.11.28 04:50 pineappleprincess92 Jadon II/III vs Molly?

Jadon II/III vs Molly? I’m sure this is one of the dumbest questions haha. So I have a pair of Molly boots in an 8 that are perfect with insoles. I tried on the Jadon III at Nordstrom in a men 7/women 8 and they were so big, but the men 6/women 7 was a little snug.
That said, all the Jadons I’ve been eyeing (white, cherry) are Jadon II. Is there a major difference between II and III size wise? Does anyone own Molly and Jadon and have similar size issues? I’m overthinking this because they’re a splurge for me and the break in process is so rough 😂 thanks everyone!

2024.11.28 04:50 Captain_Hope Is my girl mixed?

Sheikah is my first husky and the guy who gave her up told me she's a pure Siberian Husky but family and strangers have asked if she's mixed because she doesn't look like your typical Siberian Husky and it's gotten in my head a bit. People have been guessing dingo (we're Australian) though I've been leaning towards her possibly being a labsky.
Of course, I don't care if she's "pure", more that I'm curious and want to see if anyone who is more familiar with the breed is able to shed light on her.

2024.11.28 04:50 Merry_mushroom1 Concerning blend of symptoms

Hi all! I’m a 24F and I have been experiencing concerning symptoms for almost a year or so now. I have noticed my extreme loss of appetite and an inability to finish food after a few bites due to feeling so full, Feeling super bloated and heavy, extreme fatigue in my whole body, and frequent urination ( as many as 5 times in less than an hours time and still feeling like my bladder is full), as well as irregular bowel movements and now has moved to constipation and gas issues. My mother had ovarian cancer when she was pregnant with me at 22 and had a full hysterectomy right after I was born. I was diagnosed with lots of mental illness which I assumed were the problem, but I just feel like something is wrong. I also have not had a pap or any prevention type care due to not having insurance and financial issues. I know this is a very broad range of symptoms and could be anything but every-time I look up my symptoms this is a suggestion and I just can’t shake the feeling that something is wrong. I’m scheduling a check up with my primary care doctor and I’m going to go from there, but does anyone have any advice or relate to this experience in any way? TIA!!!
