Hello everyone.
TLDR: Can I ever train thai boxing again without doing the surgery?
I am the lucky winner of a torn ACL in the left knee, already had surgery for a torn ACL in the right knee, and the result was average.
After 3 months I am back to training, doing sparring and everything but just refraining from using the right knee to kick (so no twisting on the left leg with the torn ACL)
Yesterday I did the stupid thing of kicking with my right leg, it went well for the first hour or so. However, at sparring I was catching a guys leg, and trying to sweep him (kick his other leg so he falls) but it ended with me getting a sharp pain in my knee, almost like when I tore it in the first place, and now it is super swollen.
Going through surgery in my right knee was average at best, even though I took physio very serious, which makes me question if I should do the surgery in the left knee.
But will I ever be able to train and kick properly with no ACL?
