I need some advice. I appreciate all responses, but I prefer answers from ladies since I assume many guys might have the same question. A friend of mine told me that a girl mentioned she’s interested in me and would like to meet me. She also followed me on Instagram. I decided to message her, and we chatted for a while. However, when I asked her out, she said she wanted to go out but was busy at the moment. This happened twice, and I got the impression that I might be bothering her, so I went out with another girl who has a much more direct approach.
My question is, what kind of thought process did this first girl likely have? Was she perhaps testing my interest, shy because someone told me she liked me, or simply not interested? I prefer in-person communication, so I text a bit less and more directly compared to my friends. Could my shorter, more direct messages have been interpreted as a lack of interest? I’d like to know the best way to approach situations like this.

Hi, I'm a student who did a three-year degree in statistics in Bologna, I then did a year of Computer Science (but I realized that I didn't like the idea of being a software engineer too much), and now I'll perhaps finish my master's degree in statistics. Let's say that my focus would be to produce mathematical/statistical models to better understand natural phenomena, or to make predictions, so it would be ideal for me to do a PhD in applied mathematics (in which I perhaps also do new subjects that are more interesting than a PhD in statistics which is very niche and maybe not too focused on these things). I wanted to ask you if I can do it in your opinion or do I have to integrate some mathematics credits to be able to do it? Maybe I'll enroll in the three-year course in Math to get some credits? I'm planning on switching to a diff high school once the second semester starts bc my schools pretty ass. I'm in junior year but I think the act testing happens after the 2nd semester starts so I'm not sure about that yet. My schools doesn't have any interesting activities like band or wielding or something, I get pretty good grades and I've kept a 4.0 gpa my whole time being here(been here since 6th grade.)) But I have a feeling this school is just dookie and I've quite literally only been doing my work and they get me a good grade. Also I've embarrassed myself so many times at this place, it's affecting me so much now. I hate EVERY teacher here and I can't stand my friend, I honestly don't mind starting over somewhere else. I feel like everyone already has their designated friend groups and I tried being friends with another girl, but now I just don't want anyone to know anything else about me.

This is because sometimes Google apps script will run way over 60s when the average run time is 5s. I don't know why this is, nothing changes in the code, server issue maybe... Anyway, I use script lock, and so when that script is hanging for 60+ seconds ather scripts throw errors because they can't get a script lock

Hi, I work from home, so I'm at home most of the time but my partner is out every day and when he first goes out in the morning, my puppy is absolutely fine, she plays with me before work, eats all her breakfast, has treats when I'm training her, then after her zoomies, she lays on my lap for an hour or so and goes to sleep. When she wakes up, she goes looking for my partner, pacing from room to room crying and whining. I try to play with her to take her mind off it or give her a cuddle but she will not settle and wriggles to get off me. She doesn't play, she doesn't eat, she goes near the door or to her bed shaking and crying, tail between her legs 😭 she isn't interested in me at all once she gets like this. I've tried keeping her awake but with her being a puppy and a small breed, she tires easily. She also pees sometimes when she sees my partner isn't here, or pees with excitement when he walks in (otherwise she's very good at not peeing inside). We don't make a fuss of him leaving or arriving either as I read that can make it worse. She's been checked at the vet and she's healthy and not in pain or ill. This also happens when he leaves in the afternoon on days off and as soon as he closes the door she's crying loudly and the behaviour stated above happens again. We both take her walks and both interact with her when we are both in the house. I'm worried she won't grow out of this, is there any tips to sort this out for her please? Thanks
