Hi guys. Well, I made it to a month sober. I was on top of the world. But I started to feel bored…
So I decided to have 1 glass of wine. I enjoyed it, went to sleep, woke up and got right back on the horse. Then I had a night out with friends about a week later. I drank a few glasses of wine and felt shitty the next day, started fresh again. All in all over the past few weeks, I've drank a handful of times. Nothing crazy. But it's all been pointless. I was SO strong and resolute before and truly convinced I'd never touch it again. But here we are.
Regardless, I am SO inspired and ready to get back to my sobriety FULL TIME. I am going into 2025 with clarity, confidence, and fresh energy and nothing can stop me.
I do want to share though that despite those few slip ups, I have been totally focused on my nutrition and fitness. I'm down 9 pounds and have been strength training 4x a week and eating really well.

So, in short myself and a colleague have the same job role and same title. I have been in the company longer and she has more experience in the industry, however it’s a sales based position and I sell more than her.
She has been working from home since Covid. As we do the same role, I thought I might be able to get the same deal, or even 1-2 days remote.
I have been told no and they “need” me in the office.
I’m not sure what I do in the office that’s so important. Maybe they don’t want everyone working from home to maintain the “sales environment” but this is what I’m keen to avoid. 7 years of typical “sales people” is draining!!
What’s the rules around working the same role as someone in the same company, but not receiving the same benefits?
