Gunmen in Central African Republic killed six motorcycle taxi drivers and four of their clients near the central diamond mining town of Bria, authorities said Tuesday.
The motorcycle taxi drivers and their clients were driving back from a religious ceremony in the town of Ippy to Bria, the capital of the central Haute-Kotto prefecture, when they were ambushed by unidentified gunmen, the member of parliament for Bria, Jacques Tafogo, told The Associated Press.
“They were tied up and killed with their clients and their motorcycles set on fire,” Tafogo told the AP over the phone. “The town is in psychosis and the army is mobilized with the support of Wagner’s Russian mercenaries.”

We have a now 5 week old and before he was born, my husband and I both agreed that we most likely wouldn’t be going to any family gatherings over the holidays since his immune system would still be developing and would not have had his vaccines yet.
For context, all the people that would be at this gathering (6), he has already met (masks while holding) but none of them are vaccinated for literally anything and that really bothers my husband. Even though I believe in vaccines, I’m a little more accepting of it since it’s how I grew up.
Yesterday, I was feeling a lot of sadness for missing out and expressed this to my SO and it ended in a big fight. Now he’s open to us going but only because of me so he’s compromising big time.
I’m just having second thoughts since all of these people have already met him, it’s a small group and we can take extra precautions while there (baby wearing, masks, etc). Are we being overly cautious considering the circumstances? Or is it better for us to stay in his newborn bubble right now?
