2024.11.28 16:30 Arockilla How does ones post get removed from a subreddit for "Breaking a rule" while the current top post in said subreddit is blatantly doing the same thing?
I made a post this morning of a picture of an advent calendar my parents got my niece last year for christmas. If you're not familiar with what they are, its basically a thin box that looks like a 25 day christmas calendar and inside of each date, there is a piece of chocolate and something written on the door flap you open. It had a joke written on the inside of it that CLEARLY should not have been on there.....
Joke: "What do christmas trees and priest have in common? Their balls are for decoration."
So I make the post, and it starts taking off.....I was actually surprised to be honest. Felt nice, especially since it was one of my own pictures. But then out of nowhere, I noticed it got removed. Oh, it violated a rule lets see what it is....oh "rule 9" posts can't be just text. Okay, I guess that makes sense, even though its text on a picture of a child's advent calendar that 100% shouldn't be there but sure, I'll move on.
That is, until I went to the subreddit and saw that the current top post is a STRAIGHT UP TEXT ON A PIECE OF PAPER ON A WALL.....So I politely messaged the mods seeing if there was some mistake, and not to my surprise I was met with the typical "I have the control" mod and they could not give me a rational response, just the suspicion of his bias for saying I had no proof it came from a "christian bookstore" so that makes the posts context "not valid".
I know I sound like a 5 year old crying about not getting his toy, but is there a reason that 90% of the mods on Reddit just dont give a shit about whether something is actually correct or not? Some groups are still great and have good people running them, but I feel like the majority of mods on the popular subreddits are just on extreme power trip mode 24/7 now.

I entered the masjid today since I was running late for maghrib, and I’m from a family where the ladies don’t really go to masjid that often, but wallahi it felt really really peaceful
and so I was thinking of praying all 5 prayers in the masjid since it’s just 3-4mins walk from my place, but I’ve also noticed they say it’s better for women to pray at home

Good Gobble Day All
Question. I just received 3 new T114 v2 as part of the faulty unit replacement and purchased one...fyi i bought 1 and then mentioned I am still waiting on my 2 replacements. They shipped me the 3...individual results may very..
Back to my question. I set up all 3 of the T114 v2 and they all have the same issue. In that they can send and receive messages but if they send a message to another unit that isnt a T114 it doesnt get an ack back...but the message does make it to the intended node.
other nodes that arent t114 work find sending and receiving acks from the T114 units.... very odd behavior.
Any suggestions?

I (21m) was having a really big breakdown, my life at uni had ended and I was under several pressures. I asked my partner (23m non binary) for a break. They didn't want to as they don't feel like being on the edge of a break up, this is based on past experiences. This is my first proper relationshipbut not theirs. Theirs went into a break and ended after. I had to take around a month to talk to them again. By that time they had had hookups and made a fwb . I am uncomfortable with them trying to keep this friend around, they met them around 2 weeks after the breakup. I have had some major anxiety about this mostly from intrusive thoughts. To me sex is really important and valuable, but to them they can defer casual and romantic. They don't want to get rid of the friend cause when the breakup happened he comforted them. He seems like a nice dude but I keep flipping between comfortable and uncomfortable, to the point I have been having stress sickness for weeks throwing up. I never wanted to break up only a small break, I hoped they would not sleep with anyone, I was wrong. They don't like the idea of a partner controlling who they are friends with but I can't control how I feel about it. They don't want to be left on standby in case I do break up with them after a proper break we have established now. I known about their previous promiscuous life, I was okay with it and any friends from that time. I'm just not okay with this new FWB. Any help or advice if this is going to work.

The environment was exploitative, and I faced mistreatment, including verbal abuse. I was often compelled to work during my "free time," and as part of that, I once logged into my Microsoft account on my personal computer to access a license for Acrobat Reader for work purposes.
Unfortunately, I later realized this action had synchronized my personal computer as though it were part of the company. I didn't pay much attention to this at the time, but things escalated quickly.
Here’s what happened:
- I used my personal computer for normal activities, like gaming and watching movies. One day, someone from IT mentioned the company had supposedly caught me playing video games on a company laptop, which wasn’t true.
- While gaming (on my personal device), I noticed an application called "Workpuls" running in the background, consuming resources. I reset my computer and continued using it as usual.
- Around this time, I anonymously reported some shady practices at the company to the authorities. I used my personal computer to submit the report.
- A few days later, I was terminated without any clear explanation. A friend in IT told me that the company had flagged me for gaming on what they thought was a company device (which wasn’t true) and had sent my work computer to a “violence risk assessment” company called Protect International to investigate further.
