i had a dream last night that genuinely scared the hell out of me. me and my bf were layinf in bed when all of a sudden he looked TERRIFIED. i look over and see what i think is the grimm reaper standing in the doorway. i dont make a sound im not scared though im more confused and accepting at the same time? he walks over to me lays his hand on my chest for what felt like forever. nodded and smiled then disappeared. its weird because i cant remember what his face looked like or if i even really seen a face. but i DO remember the smile. it was pleasant and welcoming. when i woke up i was PETRIFIED! please tell me im not going to die

2024.11.28 13:40 Snaggleswaggle Haben sie hinterm HBF in der Lastenstraße die Parkordnung (Taxi Parkplatz) verändert?
Junge, ich fühl mich grad wie im falschen Film. Die Rückseite des HBF in der Laststraße wird ja sehr gerne benutzt, um Leute am Bahnhof abzuliefern bzw abzuholen. Tut man ja schon seit 10+ Jahren so. Ganz vorne sind seit eh und je Taxi Parkplätze, also stellt man sich dahinter hin. Jetzt hab ich eine Aufforderung zur Rechtfertigung erhalten, weil ich anscheinend am Taxi Platz stand (mit Foto von meinem Auto).
Ich hab auf dem Rot markierten Teil geparkt (sichtbar auf deren Beweisfoto), wie immer halt, und auch der Google Streetview zeigt klar die Ausschilderung. Jetzt gibts eigentlich nur zwei Möglichkeiten:
Entweder, der Taxler, der das Foto gemacht hat war schwerst fadisiert am Sonntag Nachmittag, wo weit und breit niemand war, alle Parkplätze frei, bisauf eben die Taxi Plätze vorne, ODER die Parkordnung wurde geändert und ich hab aus Gewohnheit dort geparkt und nicht registriert, dass sie die Beschilderung geändert haben.
Vielleicht hat einer von euch die Lösung - ich wohne nämlich nicht mehr in der Stadt, und kann gerade nicht einfach so hinfahren, um mir die Situation mit eigenen Augen anzusehen.

Wondering which branch of YMCA this sub prefers. For context, I am looking at getting my dad a membership. He will mainly be interest in sauna, steam room and maybe swimming. I have heard anecdotally that some of the YMCA branches in Hamilton aren’t great, but that there is a “nicer” one. I don’t live in Hamilton but am planning to visit some of the branches this weekend. I 23F moved to a new city 2.5hrs away from my family a year ago. Unfortunately, right after I left, my gran became ill and my dad has moved in with her to watch over her. She has vascular dementia and is expected to deteriorate rather fast. I visit when I can on the train but I don't have a car. I feel immense guilt for not moving back home to help look after her, but the thing is, I have a job and a lease and a new life in a different city. If I had a car I'd at least come and help more. I can't tell whether I should quit my job and move back home? But if I did that I'd have to find a new job in this city and wouldn't be that available to help anyways? Also I'm kind of thinking that perhaps I save that drastic action for when things get worse and she gets nearer to the end or requires more care. My dad doesn't expect me to move back and understands I have my own life. I have a 31 year old sister in this city who can help, but she's rather busy with her job. But she's starting to resent me for not helping even though I feel immensely guilty. I've come back for hospital visits if she's ever gone to hospital. Am I an asshole? Should I have moved back by now? I also feel like it's a bit rich of my sister to be upset with me as when I did live in this city, I was always visiting family and looked after my mum when she had cancer etc. and she did not help one bit. (I moved in with mum and helped her go to hospital every day as she has agoraphobia, drove her to appointments, helped her when she was puking at night, and my sister was nowhere to be found, maybe attended 1 of 100 appointments?)
My sister is currently not speaking to me or having me round for a visit when I'm in town. I don't even know if it's that that she's angry at me for or something else? It's just a bit tense right now
