2024.11.28 15:30 derpmyderpfam Brake pedal is soft

I fixed my brake line, then took it to a shop to get a new master cylinder. They replaced the master cylinder, the front driver side brake caliper(all the others were replaced already because they were seized), and bled the brakes again. I got it back but they said it's most likely the brake booster going bad and that it also needs to be replaced.
My question is I thought if the brake booster was going bad the brake pedal would be hard, not soft? So would it be something else? I'm going to bleed the brakes again later because maybe they didnt do it right but are they wrong? Could it possibly be the brake booster going bad?

I've read a lot of articles and spoken with many Dr's and pharmacists. This is what I've learned and how my journey has been.
I am currently on 54mg I have been on 36mg and 18mg before and I operated the same through out.
I smoke marijuana almost daily. For the last 18 years I have smoked from waking up to going to sleep. I've had panic attacks from certain strains and depending on my head space without Concerta. With Concerta it's only happened once and I attribute that to the strain as it happened twice with the same. I figured less THC might be an option so I opt for less than 20%. Feels to be correct. 18 and lower I feel "in the zone".
I also find the urge to smoke is reduced so much that I don't smoke morning until night anymore and can't imagine how I did.
Since then I find on days that my depression and PTSD are stronger a smoke helps me remember how great things really are and allow me to keep on going in that day.
The many professionals I have spoken with about this combination have a assured me that with a healthy heart and no other physical condition that it should not be immediately dangerous.
However all the research says that it may be taxing on the heart as both elevate heart rate.
My take away from what I experience and what I have been told is that long term use of both together may not be the best idea for heart health. As in it may be a problem for future me, if I use both sometimes atleast I'll get to be future me.
On a daily I remind myself of the three decisions for my life: Optimal - best Sub-Optimal - better Incompatible - not beneficial(not bad) Depending on the day these choices vary, On a bad day where I want to close the blinds, sleep and scroll, smoking can be seen as optimal as it can get me up out of bed and doing things, On a good day where things are going well and I feel strong smoking can be incompatible as it may take away from what I want to be doing,
Alcohol I have had issues with for a long time so I quit drinking and only after being on concerta and going to therapy I allowed myself to have 3 tall can beers. That experience crept up on me and was uncomfortable. After that experience I've kept it to 1-2 only. Even then I am careful as I am predisposed to enjoying the numbness of emotion and trying to keep it going.
For Alcohol I'd say the first few times go slow and feel out how your experience goes. Adjust accordingly.
Due to health anxiety and other factors I've been fortunate enough to have had EKG/Stress Test and blood work done and know that there isn't a hidden issue for me.
I am not a medical professional; however my sister and my brother in law are , and, my dr all know my usage and the three different pharmacies I have used in the past year have all given near identical answers.
