2024.11.28 15:30 Luckisforlosers13 Today is American Thanksgiving
And like a lot of people, I’m spending it with some family that I don’t agree with about a lot of things. I know going in to it that it will be stressful.
So I have to remember…
Nothing that happens today can MAKE me drink. It can make me anxious, angry, frustrated. It can make me want to drink, it can test my resolve, it can tell me lies about how I can moderate now.
But I have knowledge, I have strength, I have more to live for than my addiction wants me to believe.

 | The main reason I went with kobo over kindle is the more in depth reading statistics it provided. But after a bit I felt I wanted more; I.e a way to track my time read per day. Found out KOReader had what I wanted. At first the ui looked both overwhelmed and underwhelming at the same time, but I sat down and watched a YouTube video on how to set up the settings and gave it a shot. Hey Guys, I[25M] made one post a while back where I was seeking advice regarding my situation back then.
[For context, I was ditched by my gf[24F] 1.5 years back and it was a ~3years long relationship. I loved her unconditionally because of which I am still not over her. We're no longer in contact but I would say that I still love her the way I used to do back then. I don't have any female interaction as such and hence I couldn't find anyone to replace her. I do feel like I should find someone to take her place completely]
Now the thing is, I have got an offer from a Bangalore based startup which is a very good offer but they are asking me to relocate to Bangalore plus the work load will be too heavy. My ex is in Bangalore as well and as I mentioned I'm still not over her, I think it won't be easy for me to settle in Bangalore. There’s literally no one I know there and I'll be all alone. I think the loneliness will start frustrating me and I won't be able to concentrate on work.
I know you all will say focus on career and job is important etc. I know all this but still I feel my mental state would not be that good to give my best at work. Plus I'm already in a great company with a good enough package. It's just I want to switch to that startup for more learnings and personal growth.
Should I accept it and ignore whatever will happen or prioritise my mental state and look for other opportunities outside Bangalore? I feel one day I'll have to move to Bangalore as after sometime the opportunities and package I aim at will be mostly available there only.
