Asking for a friend. He has an upper garage loft and will be putting in a mini split. He would like to attach to the wall but it's full brick veneer attached to 2x6 framing. How is this successfully done without wrecking the bricks? I was thinking he should go through the brick all the way into the wood? But I'm not sure if these two different materials expand at different rates. Ontario Canada so the temperature can go from -20 + 30 Celsius.

A PG owner took 2K from me as Booking fee, but couldn't provide me the room the next day when I came back. I shifted to some other PG, and asked him for my money back. He agreed on the phone call at first, but now is not even picking up the phone at all.
I live not far from his PG, but he barely shows up there, so I can't confront him face to face.
I lowkey want to grab some stuff from his PG and not return it till he returns my money back, but I guess that would land me in legal trouble.
Also, what steps can I take.
I want to sort it out without police and lawyers, if possible, but if all fails I'm okay with that as well. I'd rather spend thousands on people doing their jobs, rather than a single penny to a fraudulent scammer.

So me and J are best friends since 5th grade and we're both 23 now. J is literally the sweetest girl I know. She's kind, helpful and what not. She's basically a sister I never had. But there's something that I don't like about her. Y'all might have guessed it. Yup she's very possessive and I often find it difficult to handle. Below are some of the instances.

  1. I moved to a different state for college while she stayed in our hometown. She'd constantly fight with me saying how I don't talk to her as much as I talk to my college and pg friends( LIE- We used to talk twice daily, once in the morning and video call at night).
  2. She'd constantly tell me how my ex isn't a green flag and that he will hurt me in future and that I should breakup with him. That's a lie too coz he was a great guy and the only reason we parted ways was because we didn't have a future together and not once did he hurt me.
  3. Now that I am moving a different state again for my first job, she makes it a topic of discussion every time she calls, that how I'll start to avoid her and make new friends once I start my job.
  4. So she's a CA and i recently told her that I wanna enroll myself in certification course for tax. She asked me not to spend money on that course and that she will teach me instead. Nevertheless I went ahead and spent 10k on the course. She got mad once I told her. She started to scold me saying how I am such a careless person and I don't value money. She even told my mom.
  5. She has saved all my friends and family's phone number and she starts to get mad if I don't answer her calls in one ring. She starts calling my mom, my brother and my friends asking if I am with them.
  6. She gets crazy jealous if I make plans with my other friends from school or college. It's like she keeps on taunting me saying things like "Haan teri toh best friend wo hai na tu uske sath hi jaa mere me kyu hi kregi baat" ( yeah I know she is your best friend so why would you talk to me go with her instead).
  7. She doesn't have any friends except me and she isn't even interested in making one. Whenever I advice her to talk to people or socialize more or even do networking she gets angry and will tell me that I want to get rid of her and shit.
There are many more instances which made me feel like she's over possessive. So my question is how do I deal with her. I don't wanna be rude to her and I have never been rude. If she ever says things like these, I always assure her , no matter what she is and will always be my best friend and that no one can take her place and that she is my topmost priority. But for some reason she comes back to her usual self again. Please give me some advice!!!

You can love or hate me, your son in law, all you want, but if heaven is truly hell without your family like you always claim, why not attempt to keep up a relationship with your daughter and grandkids? Initiate a conversation literally ever, remember the kids birthdays before my wife send out pictures of them on the birthday, make an effort to visit or invite us over for a holiday (we thankfully live about 18 hours away from them now). When you get invited by your daughter for a holiday, to an important life event, an important life event for your grand kids, don’t come up with a bs excuse and then complain because they like their other grandparents, who try their best to look past religious disagreements, more than you. You’d also think that, since they’re about to be damned and cut off from your eternal family, you’d prioritize the time that you do have with them. Sorry this has turned into a bit of a rant, just very frustrated on behalf of my wife, who is at the point of just cutting them off entirely and a bit torn about it.

Hi everyone! Recently a 2010 C-class c250 was listed at my local dealer for a decent price and with only one prior owner and 45,000km driven. Its in pretty good shape and so far I haven't seen any red flags to be concerned about. Does any one have any experience with this car and how it would hold up with reliability and longevity (given it's been routinely maintained).
